sbv, to asklemmy in Those who chose "never" in a "now or never" moment. How is it going for you?

I’m disappointed your story didn’t have a “never” but it’s very sweet. Congratulations, and I’m glad you don’t bail.

sbv, to lemmyshitpost in Double standards

you’re fantastic

sbv, to asklemmy in So, who or what ruined Christmas this year?

I’m cognizant that there may be fewer years ahead of us than behind us with him still in the house.

I’m feeling that more and more. I love that my guys are getting more independent, and we’re having deeper conversations. But I know our time is limited. It’s bittersweet.

sbv, to asklemmy in What's your automatic vacuum's name?

I only vacuum/sweep when the drifts of dust and hair become tripping hazards. A $300ish iRobot does a crappy job, but it runs regularly. I just need to empty the bin once every few days.

It works pretty well for me.

sbv, to memes in Skirts are breezy and comfortable. Fuck off.

I wore a Utilikilt for a while. They’re surprisingly uncomfortable. Sitting in a kilt requires effort. The material is a heavy denim, which is hot and doesn’t fall nicely. I expected the breeze to be enjoyable. It’s not.

The pockets are good.

sbv, to upliftingnews in Ukrainian watchmaker fixes Newfoundland clock tower that hasn't told time in decades | CTV

The first stage of the prophecy is complete. The Codfather shall soon walk the earth.

Shit-posting aside, I’m glad she was able to do it. A broken town clock is low key depressing.

sbv, to memes in Google “search”

Google had more relevant results for me.

sbv, to memes in Google “search”

I’m in the same boat. The results from Kagi just weren’t good.

sbv, to memes in Google “search”

I love the idea of paying for services I use, but I didn’t get many useful results from Kagi.

Out of curiosity, do you live in the US?

sbv, (edited ) to memes in Google “search”

I tried Kagi briefly and the results were as good as google. Searches for stuff near me, programming questions, and travel related stuff were not helpful.

I live in Canada, so I wonder if there’s some sort of regional prioritization.

sbv, to memes in I never learn my lesson

It’s D&D. A game played with friends who have their own likes and dislikes. But sometimes they like the wrong thing.

sbv, to memes in I never learn my lesson

Risa is a great community. I don’t post there, but I enjoy the memes.

sbv, to memes in I never learn my lesson

I’ve had positive experiences, mostly in the shit-posting and meme communities.

Maybe it’s just me, but the negative experiences are way more memorable than the positive ones.
