According to the full documentation, soup is a salad, salad is either quiche or nachos depending on prep style, and nigiri is toast. Notably, salad itself does not fall under the “salad” cube rule.
People keep talking about “Federalizing the National Guard” and now you’ve got other States pledging their NG to Texas in defiance of the Supreme Court (see image)....
Another fun thing about that is that most folks who identify “red” or “right” actually aren’t paying enough attention to know that. Go ask them, they think people like them make up 70% or more of the country. If they do try to activate their little civil war they are going to find themselves very quickly surrounded by folks who do not like them at all, as their expected 200-million strong army ends up actually only being 1.5 million people spread out over 30,000+ square miles. Watching the realization dawn on them might actually even be fun if it weren’t a herald of Troubles for America.
You don’t have to be stupid to fall victim to propaganda. It happens to literally everyone, every single living human being, in the modern age. We are being assaulted from all sides at all times with conflicting information.
For example, I used to follow a lot of subreddits for individual YouTube content creators, however, Lemmy doesn’t really have the size or culture to support this currently.
Hmm… I bet the owners of r/roguelikedev could be convinced to run a Lemmy community, seems their style. I think they can be reached via discord. I might look into that, they were a good group, and helpful.
WW1 experimental camouflage sniper’s suit using the concept of “dazzle.” Dazzle camouflage, also known as razzle dazzle (in the U.S.) or dazzle painting, was a family of ship camouflage used extensively in World War I.
It works well for zebras, who travel in herds. Their stripe pattern, similar to dazzle, makes it difficult to differentiate individuals from the group and isolate a single one. For an army in marching formation, or otherwise on the move in a group, it could serve to make it difficult to tell exactly how many soldiers are in your group. But it isn’t going to work as classic “camo”, of course, nobody is going to not see you.
It’s because the sites refuse to police misinformation in any form. You want attention on that, you have to say something that someone in charge of that cares about. Falsely reporting their death is an easy, legal and fun way to make a content moderator or site owner or CEO pause and say “hey wait a minute”
I’ve played like 60 games and barely have any idea wtf is going on, good luck lmao
My advice is to pick something relatively low impact like janitor or bartender if it’s available and just try and hang out and see what happens. Or just be an assistant but people tend to ignore you or grief you if you’re assistant. Some of the more complex roles, if you’re interested in trying them, such as engineering or botany, are greatly benefited by figuring out how to host a private server to log on to and practice outside of a real game. Medical, at least as of a couple years ago when I last played, is pretty formulaic and as long as you know what operation you need to perform and have the supplies to do it, you can just follow a wiki page recipe.
Don’t trust sec, don’t trust the clown, if anyone outside of your departnent is being exceptionally nice to you they’re probably going to stuff your corpse in a locker 20 minutes from now if you don’t help them kidnap HoP. Learn to be robust. Rules (both social, and actual game rules and code) will differ, sometimes greatly, depending what server you’re currently on, but reading the Goonstation wiki should give you approximate knowledge of most things.
If you roll antagonist, God be with you, and know that we’ve all royally bungled many an antag objective, most especially when new. Just try to have as much fun as you can, the points don’t matter anyway.
