When I was nineteen, a friend was driving us home on LSD (please don’t do this). He said that was like a game. The third person in the vehicle said that didn’t make him any more confident. We got home safe, somehow. Lucas, if you’re reading this, good job. Also, fuck you for driving while we were on drugs.
I used to drunkenly crave chips and ice cream and would forget that I set a reminder to buy them the next day. And as sober-me wisely dismissed those reminders, the reminders would get progressively angrier and more forceful. It was kind of hilarious.
In the last couple of months I have noticed an increasing trend of supplying me search results that are completely unrelated to the current query and tie back to my location or previous searches. I can say this with a high degree of certainty this is without a doubt beyond the 100th instance this has happened....
I get that not everyone has extra cash to spend. I’m very fortunate to be able to throw $10 at a problem. I don’t begrudge you if you need to save cash (I have no kids to raise, for example). But I think $10 is fair if you search a bunch. Maybe I’m overvaluing it; I have heard great things about Kagi, but I’m still fucking around on Google cause it’s “good enough,” even though it’s in great decline. Fuck it, I’m a hypocrite.
And invalidate the person who corrected me? No. I’ll live with my shame. I’m pedantic about writing, spelling, grammar. I made a mistake. I’ll live with it.

Ads for Apple services, yes. I don’t approve of that. But this is otherwise bullshit. I can delete any app I want. And I have to opt-in for Apple to get my crashlogs. And there aren’t ads for third-party bullshit.
And Linux is even better. Both OSes are great by comparison. And good on their own. We will never have perfect software.
Got lucky. But one year my wonderful kitty got very sick and had to be put down on Xmas eve. That coal hurt for months and years. Happily, I’ve worked through it. My two kitties got tuna on Xmas day.
No, you’re mistaken. Lonnie is on the Right, which means his satellites reflect and amplify prayers. Or at least get a pass. He hates LGBTQ people, so he’s “good.” /s
