I think this is a common “trick” to help heat your home if the power goes out. Putting a pot over 4 tea candles doesn’t change how much heat it produces. But it does slow down the hot air path, so instead of going straight to the ceiling it bounces around at lower heights. And you get a little bit of radiant heat from the pot, but see laws of physics. It’s more about the distribution of the heat.

I heard people think the star wars guy has abs. So I have a poll question, do you guys call those abs?

someguy3,

He’s very much the presumptive nominee. You don’t need to be a house rep or senator to be the nominee.

someguy3,

That’s after you serve your two terms and essentially retire from politics that you don’t get involved. Trump very much wants to return, so he’s involved.

someguy3,

Let’s keep it calm here, ok?

someguy3,

Tomato soup? Gonna have to flip your head over on the griddle. This is embarrassing for you.

someguy3, (edited )

Salt? That’s it, your head’s going on the griddle.

someguy3,

If it’s a walkie talkie inside the pumpkin the sound will come out anywhere.

someguy3,

That’s what I said the first time.

someguy3,

We heat homes, smelt ore, many industrial things.

someguy3,

Hey we burn things just for heat too.

someguy3,

Don’t leave us ice cold.

someguy3,

Our entire society* has been based on burning things. Then we progressed to… burning atoms.

(*Exceptions I can think of is solar, wind, hydro.)

someguy3, (edited )

Ohhhhh!

someguy3,

Not only water as per the original comment. You need heat to smelt ore and do any number of industrial things to progress society.

someguy3,

A Roman walks into a bar, holds up two fingers, and says “I want five drinks”.

someguy3, (edited )

Depends on the generation. To younger generations I don’t think it works, as seen by the comment above.

someguy3, (edited )

I think it’s a strategy that used to work: call people anti-Semitic to get them to shut up. It worked after WW2 and the Holocaust but it doesn’t work anymore.
