In a lot of hot weather countries people don't have air-conditioning. 40C is also not comfortable in the slightest when the humidity is 90 percent.

They're highly unlikely to have a ceiling fan. Viscose is also much cooler than cotton.

Don't. Please don't. Cool. Not ice.

During travel, what can I prepare beforehand as meal, which can be eaten without access to fire or microwave?

I’m going from Hong Kong to Iceland next month. I’ve read that everything there, including food, are quite expensive. So my wife and I have been researching on how to prepare meal or snack that we can eat during the day instead of going to restaurant....

A caponata sandwich with a shed load of cheese should keep you going for a while. Or if you don't want to make caponata, grill some veg instead.

How much did they pay you to say that?

Good start of the day, beans. I'm more of a cheese sandwich person myself, though.

Just use alcohol or white spirit. That stuff is an expensive gimmick.
