Yep, we usually have an election the first or second Tuesday of every November. On the one hand it sucks that more of us don’t vote, but on the other hand I’d rather that people who get a ballot and just pick whatever name sounds better not do that
Not voting for the lesser of two evils is the most childish shit. People like to bring up that Geralt quote, as if the situation in that story wasn’t made a hell of a lot worse by his decision not to choose.
If you’re not gonna vote blue all the way down, then you need to put your money where your mouth is and start burning it down so you can rebuild it. Otherwise you aren’t protesting, you’re just being lazy.
Biggest difference is I’m not the main character, I’m a peasant mud farmer, and the universe isn’t going to thrust an adventure upon me that will inevitably lead to me finding a partner who’s a literal perfect match for me
My problem with a lot of wholesomeposting is that it often feels vacuous and insincere. Gimme stats about the decline of child mortality instead of a generic “you can do it! I believe in you! (I’m not personally invested in your success but I want to feel like I’ve done something nice today!)”
I didn’t actually know that it was bad to put knives in the dishwasher until only a couple months ago. For anyone wondering, dishwasher detergent is abrasive, and will mechanically dull blades.
