sukhmel,

I’d disagree with the last statement as negative results may still be useful. But I didn’t watch the video, maybe it really was not worth being made

sukhmel,

Maybe you use the corporative version? My products don’t ask me to close when I’m offline, and even when I’m not logged in with JB account they start asking to log in after some weeks

sukhmel,

I second that this kind of licence seems very reasonable.

I find subscription licences to be frustrating but kind of reasonable, because those let the developers to focus on improving the product rather than making stuff broken on purpose to make the user pay for an upgrade. But that’s really controversial even in my own mind, don’t know if there’s a good solution but “magazine subscription” licence looks really good

sukhmel,

With the glasses it’s all fun and games until you’re assassinated by someone you accidentally crossed without even knowing. Because assassination is not so much of a social situation ¯_(ツ)_/¯

sukhmel,

I guess it may be unclear when “entered a lottery but won only the ticket price, because otherwise would’ve been killed in a robbery” kind of situation comes into play. Is that luck or no luck? Would winning still be luck if robbers only came after the lucky dozen hours end?

sukhmel,

According to Wikipedia there are at least 16 cities that felt this price to be justified, 10 of which are in the US. >!Seems like the smallest population is in Inglewood, it’s almost same as stadium capacity when it’s expanded.!<

sukhmel,

Yeah, there’s an especially shitty part of a city where used to live, that part is always mostly traffic jams and the bike lanes painted on the road side are just used as a parking lot for expensive cars 🤦‍♂️

sukhmel,

Nowadays trams can go pretty fast. Plus, a better aligned railway and a better suspension means that they became.uch more quiet.

I just hope that someday we will see more of those used in large cities

sukhmel,

Yeah, plus 10/16 stadiums on the Wikipedia page for most expensive ones are in the US.

sukhmel,

Could you elaborate on “harmful to the community” part? It was mentioned in another thread that they could brick the device, but I couldn’t find any details, for now at least

sukhmel,

It’s a good thing that while there’s no AI noone does this enslaving of humanity.

sukhmel,

That was good, what an angst for a djinn though

sukhmel,

Plot twist: Genie is just impersonating a djinn, but in fact he’s an eldritch god 🌚

sukhmel,

As far as I understand you, you’re just against fan fiction. I know some people that also think that whatever is non-canon shouldn’t be approached by reasonable people, but even they don’t think that it should be forbidden

sukhmel,

I tried searching but to no avail, is it a quote?

sukhmel,

And that’s exactly why I have installed a bunch of spy-cams everywhere around my house /s

sukhmel,

There are more even, which surprised me when I first found out. Even Rastafari is listed as Abrahamic there.

sukhmel,

They are generative in the sense of generating output, nothing more. With the “intelligence” part of the AI we got a fluke, should’ve called it something else until it gets to the real intelligence level (that is now dubbed AGI)

sukhmel,

It still hasn’t stopped to this very moment

sukhmel,

Yeah, it just make me go “aww what a sweetie, just who wouldn’t want you to bite 'em dead, awww”

Tips on making your data less sellable?

A charity I’m volunteering for and a contractor I know insist I have a facebook account for contact reasons. Naturally I bought a separate device to use for that, but I was wondering if there were ways to make my data undesirable to potential buyers. So far I got the obvious tiennamen square posting and that gay putin pic, but...

sukhmel,

It looks like he’s trying to heal a patient with bloodletting. I think it might help to revive the economy, but also may be a disaster. Also I think that the social guarantees should at least be in force after things get better, if not the whole time. Trying to work things out for the country by putting the citizens in even worse position does not seem like a humane thing to do even if it works :(

sukhmel,

It seems like pathfinding was a bit better several patches back. I hope, they will fix it back, though.
