What about the “weird black mold” ? Is this something real ? Like some radiation resistant mold that has been observed ?

It’s not about Laptop vs worksation. It’s about how new is the Hardware compared to the Linux Kernel shipping with the LTS distribution. If your hardware is older than the kernel, you will most likely not have any problems. For example, let’s say you use Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, which ships with Kernel 5.17 releaed in may 2022, if your computer is made of parts released in 2021, no problem.

You say the sound comes from the power supply and the HDD is not plugged into the computer. My diagnistic: the power-supply makes a noise when it operates at very low load (almost 0mA of current), it is probaly making the cyclic noise because of some blinking LED or another very small variation of the loaf somewhere. This is a very common symptom of cheap power-supplies, but it doesn’t necessarly mean it isn’t working normally, just an annoyance.

When I opened the package, I was sure I was missing one of the chair’s leg. I went back to the shop and they told me everything is there. So, back home I started to assemble it, now I am finished and I am left with an extra chair leg. What do I do ?

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, pedal error car accidents are defined as “accidents caused by unintentional acceleration or braking due to driver error.” These types of accidents can result in injuries, property damage, and even fatalities.

16k drivers who don’t have the proper skills to control their vehicules, this sounds like 16k too much to me, doesn’t matter the total number of drivers. It’s like drunk drivers, 1 fatality is already too much.

Really ? I have not encountered this problem. Well my custom domain gets rejected sometimes, because it’s somewhat exotic, but then I fallback to the @protonmail.com and it works.

Today I received a meeting invitation from the CTO (this doesn’t usually happen, I am getting dragged into a mud trap), the agenda for the meeting is “Plan to prepare for the preparation…” and my contribution to that meeting is to come prepared with a timeline of the plan. I am not even kidding.

If only modern phones would made out of proper shock resistant plastic, instead of bendy metal and brittle glass, we wouldn’t need extra case.

Still, the choice of glass is clearly cosmetic (less prone to scratch, nicer look, premium feel), buy technically plastic presents more advantages, it is lighter, absorbes shocks, fairly durable, much cheaper. To make for the most reliable device it would be better, but we know that’s not a priority for any of the manufacturers, and propably also for many customers.

I have nothing against glass screen, but glass back-side I find rather stupid, and pretty standard nowdays.
