Honestly, it’s better without bread or toast - that’s just empty carbs anyways. I started getting coconut flakes to sprinkle on top… It’s an easy way to class it up without adding calories or effort… It’s basically a no-bake protein cookie at that point
Does debian even exist? I’ve never seen it… I’ve used a dozen flavors of “debian” Linux professionally, as well as the headwear related branches and centos… Most recently I’ve gotten into nixos (I tried a half dozen distros, none of the “Nvidia friendly” distros would work with my graphics card outside safe mode, even after debugging and official docs listing it as compatible with Ubuntu… Five lines in the nix config, will nix again)

There’s indeed knowledge like that. Like there’s knowledge that, at the moment of understanding, overloads your brain. It’s like your entire model of reality has become invalid, and it can cause physical pain as your brain burns out trying to recalculate everything you know in this new paradigm. Sometimes you go through days in a fog as your brain recovers, sometimes it can still hurt every time you think of it months later. The implications of certain understandings just start the process over all over again
Here’s a particularly grounded and well supported example that’s not transmissible enough to be an info hazard - everything is waves. There’s no particles, just waves of energy that form stable patterns

I don’t think we need to make this literally true - we can put in a lot of wiggle room, because we just need to restrict doing this at scale

Aside from that, nothing about the configuration really matters except being standard. The reason they’re not just in stripe-color color order is to separate the tx and rx to minimize interference
I’m pretty sure all of this became moot after hundred gigabit Ethernet became a common thing anyways - they multiplex electrical signals across each of the wires, so they have to negotiate the method or fall back to a simpler protocol from the start. I’m not sure how robust it is to randomly shuffling the order on each side individually (I wouldn’t try it on hardware I wasn’t willing to risk)
So really, all that matters is that it matches. And since we’ve been doing it a certain way for so long, doing it differently is a bad idea. A vs b makes no difference, but you could make green the split pair and it’d be identical. You could use the same arbitrary order on each side and you’d probably not notice much difference, although you might get a lot more errors from minute interference
And FWIW, I think b is the more common standard across the world… But any advantage or disadvantage probably died back when we stopped using those trunk lines with dozens of pairs split out on a punch down block that goes to a bunch of different homes

I could’ve made Uber when the iphone launched, and never took a dime in investments. I’d also jump forward AI tech by a couple decades - I could make the world unrecognizable. I’d be a household name, although I’d probably use a pseudonym
