tweeks,

What’s actually happening there? I recognise the :3, but what is the c?

tweeks,

I’m not sure if that will joyfully co-exist with happiness.

tweeks,

The app of course needs access to the Internet, through your WiFi or mobile Internet. However, depending on the app, phone OS and the security configuration of your local network setup it could have access to other devices as well.

But that’s usually on purpose or by accident of the user. In court, one valid question could be if TikTok tries to make use of such a configuration, and for what reasons.

So I think the question itself is not that bad, if it got a clarification / follow-up question like the above.

tweeks,

It feels so weird to me that the small change in degrees might actually kill a virus. I mean, wouldn’t all viruses by now have become accustomed to “warmer climates”?

Or is it a cat / mouse game, our bodies being able to heat up more and them getting more fire resistant by the year. Was a fever less hot a couple of hundred years ago?

tweeks,

Even if that would mean that we keep growing in size, fattening up completely with all we ever consume?

tweeks,

An underpowered one; In Another World With My Smartphone, trying to make a hotel understand that my wallet was stolen, using Google Translate, while they increasingly seem to question my sanity.

tweeks,

Tomato soup with kidney beans can make it way more filling and gives the taste more body. Other less-western combinations with tomato work as well; like rice / beans, some sweet pepper, onion / tomato mixed sauce (perhaps even add apple or banana).

Otherwise stuff like Burritos and Chili recipes are always great.

tweeks,

They wouldn’t kill, or even raise the pig if they didn’t count on the money down the chain. We indirectly but surely pay for pigs to be created / killed, for our consumption.

It’s fine if you don’t care about that or accept it as your standards, that’s your choice and fair in our current social context. Just realize the economics behind it.

tweeks, (edited )

Yes, but they only pay those people if they expect to make a profit by selling the end product to you. You are one of the people who make it worthwhile to set up a chain of payments like that.

If they do not expect you (or other people) to buy the meat, they won’t pay those people to raise / kill the pigs.

Whether it’s you this time or someone else doesn’t matter. As long as there is a demand by end consumers they will continue. If no-one buys it they stop, it’s that simple.

You’re part of the group that enables this dynamic and your money goes to paying those people. It’s fine if you like meat, just don’t deny this basic logic.

tweeks,

They would stop doing it commercially. You are free to kill a pig and eat it, so are other people. Or trade it, but that’s again economics.

Mass production of meat is a luxury that would never have this scale if people had to find, raise and slaughter pigs themselves.

You supporting mass production of meat is paying to raise, kill and consume pigs. Which is still fine in our society, just see it as it is.

tweeks,

No you’re not, but to dismiss that your actions still have influence on other people/systems is short-sighted.

Once more, it’s fine if you eat meat. You don’t have to consciously manage other people’s expectations. But just know that you automatically do. Buying meat is supporting the future production of meat, that’s all.

tweeks,

I think it has something to do with needing more oxygen, just like doing push-ups will help and so will running around or even just stopping your breathing for ~30 seconds. Your body will eventually go into a higher alert state.

It just helps for a short bit though, when you relax your nasal passage does too and blocks all again.

tweeks,

Also might be good to recommend them to use multiple links / sources, and look for opposite views to broaden their perspectives on topics.

tweeks,

Desktop runs great, but Firefox on Android seems to be noticeably buggy here and there sadly. I still use it, but I can imagine that might drive people out of the ecosystem.

Many people get used to the synchronization of their passwords / bookmarks cross-channel. More advanced users have a separate password management for this I’d figure, but that’s not the default for 90% I’d guess.

tweeks,

Well, in my experience it’s mostly interaction bugs. Quite noticeable when you’re used to Chrome not having these issues.

tweeks,

You’re willingly confirming something you rate as sensitive, trying to bring more credibility to it by being an extra shout and referencing a virtually unverifiable needle in a haystack ‘authority’ as Google, but find the sensitivity a reason for not sharing your information.

How can you reason like this?

tweeks, (edited )

This, although really hot it terrifies me to no end. I can’t focus on the good feels. This position is better imagined.

Edit: While exiting this post I was presented this juxtaposition: https://feddit.nl/pictrs/image/d4f4a6c7-4b38-45ce-889a-a0e32f49cc6d.png

tweeks,

Isn’t that the thing, we needed capitalism now to be able to have communism in the future?

tweeks,

What is with the odd looking rib cages; I guess these are torture burn/whip marks, as they don’t look like regular ribs at all?

tweeks,

It’s better than the native Mail app by Apple.

tweeks,

A collection of words even, claiming to be a standard.

tweeks,

And even that’s only in the optimistic situation where you can always fully trust “1”, also in the future.

tweeks,
