Hanlon’s Razor comes into play here. If you don’t believe me
No no, I already believe that. I think that’s one of the most soothing and comforting adages ever. I suppose it’s just not in many Americans’ culture to think in terms of “what good can I be to society during my lifetime/today/in this situation,” rather than “how can I help myself/make the smallest burden for myself, right now”. I dunno.
I remember when I came to America for a few months, twice. I would gain a lot of weight both times. I thought it was quite frustrating. But cheap food really is bad for you.
Probably more in the continental Europe, right? Or further east? I feel like Scandinavian people are quite clean and take responsibility for trash. We have a good community system as well I think. Garbage is collected and disposed.
I dunno. Sometimes it bothers me how people don’t sort their trash correctly in the correct bins, like how hard is that? But at least they bring it there, right? 🤷♂️
Sorry, I’ve become confused about what you mean by “here” or “there”, and where you are based.
You mean coins are required in America? Because not in Sweden. They used to be, like 20-15 years ago. But they removed that. Not sure if there was a law that came into effect or something but… not anymore with the coins. Carts are free to take into the store without coins. Still, everyone returns them.
Watching TV is also shit. When an ad break comes, I have to mute the sound or turn down the volume, regardless of normalization. That should be illegal in my opinion but it’s the status quo.
This is why I turn on the audio normalization on my TV. It makes the explosions sound super weird but it’s impossible to watch movies with kids sleeping otherwise. The mixing is so bad.
I’m gonna just jump into the deep end and blurt out that I can’t freaking stand the cadence of his voice. It’s so choppy. And the inflections are just so off. I know he’s not a native speaker and all that but… God. It’s almost unbearable to me. I can’t compensate for it.
It doesn’t break often, it doesn’t have problems updating it you don’t update regularly.
It might be a bad choice for a first-time Linux user due to the heavy setup process/time post-install, but as a gaming platform it works absolutely fine. Steam Deck runs on Arch ffs, come on now. 😄
Curious: when was the last time you used Arch? Seems like you haven’t used it of late, considering those misconceptions you spewed. Or maybe you are running experimental/unsupported stuff?
I’ve used it for over a decade now and had less problems with it than with Ubuntu that I ran for much less time before Arch.
No I don’t think we do. I sure as hell don’t. Yes indeed, we are, and we did. That’s why I think the whole comic is bullshit, like wtf is this whole thing? Feels like some Gen X or earlier is trying out this web comic thing. I don’t even know.
