Yep. I’ve been looking for my next phone for when my pixel 5 eventually goes and looking at Asus as it’s the only current high end phone that’s not bigger that 5".

I do not want a 6"-7" display. I want a 4"-5" display I can easy get in and out of my pocket, and be able to hold and use with one hand. Even a 5" screen is to big for my thumb to reach about 1/4 of the screen without moving my hand.

You don’t get it because you don’t have the endless supply of information on ever man woman and child on earth.

The information is valuable so they can continue to squeeze every cent out of everyone I’m every way possible, including those who can’t afford to spend it.

Don’t worry. I blame you for mayonnaise on hamburgers still.

Go start a thread about it. That’s a pretty vague and broad subject.

Wouldn’t Dr Evil be the right meme to use here?

w2tpmf, to memes in Why the hell did that stop

Ok. Then the phone is bigger and more expensive once you add that.

This is why I never ever put carts away. Give those poor kids something better to do than stand inside and listen to bitching customers while they bag their groceries.

They don’t even need to push the carts. They just walk around with a little machine that does the pushing while they bop around with their headphones on enjoying the fresh air.

Yes, thousands of years of established language development is wrong … not the individual who is unable to learn what millions of others have been able to.

Kid. Lol. I’ve been in the game since before the invention of Windows servers

The start menu searching the web isn’t a network setting. It’s a setting for the behavior of the start menu.

You change a single flag in the registry on Windows and it tells the Start Menu not to do the behavior of searching the web. The unusual scenario as you cannot it is a common feature that can be turned on and off. The GPO lets you set that flag administratively. It’s not unique, and it’s something my level 1 help desk guys under my teams had no problem learning.

You’ve either been in the game long enough to become senile or the more likely case is your the kid and have no idea what you’re doing.

Bonus: there’s another flag to set the Start Menu to not search files. Set that one too and the search is lightning fast and only shows you programs and settings options.

If you’re such a server and desktop expert, why are you not setting a GPO to disable the start menu web features??

w2tpmf, to asklemmy in Do you know any file hosting sites with a good privacy policy?

Almost too good to be true.

My thoughts too.

Looking at their about page my concerns are with longevity.

They’ve only been a company for 3 years and they are run by three 20somthing dudes with little experience that each hold multiple executive titles.

I’ll watch them with high hopes, but wouldn’t trust my data with them long term.(yet)
