xX_fnord_Xx,

Finally, Peewees Playhouse has found open source representation.

It could be useful if you live in a submarine that is always emerging/submerging.

xX_fnord_Xx,

And yet, we still don’t have a phone that can pee on us. Engineers are so culture-deaf.

xX_fnord_Xx,

But I’ve spent the last ten years perfecting my planking game.

I need witnesses to my perfection.

xX_fnord_Xx,

You can thrash all over me, skate-daddy.

xX_fnord_Xx,

Cherry Coke had a promotional game called something like The Lost Island Of Alanna they gave out in the mid 90s. There was a little attack of them in the waiting room of the principles office at my school.

It was a pretty well done short Myst-like.

When you beat it the reward was a guide to read secret messages that were hidden in the squiggles that covered the cherry coke label at the time.

xX_fnord_Xx,

If the amount of children you have spawned gives you reason to act as a lesser human being, you need to question your motives, not society.

Unilaterally occuring in the vicinity of another event at the same time: possibly by chance: -A/N short description of the sorry State of English. Vol. 3

xX_fnord_Xx,

I’ll forward you the number to call, but there are always Hot English Professors in your area, ready to mete out linguistic punishment.

And check out my Patrion if you want the longer cut with all the steps explained!

xX_fnord_Xx,

My dad made bootleg copies of just about every vhs he rented until the mid 90s.

The ones that were for kids he imprinted with red or blue tape, all the others black.

I have no idea what my mom did with that wall of tapes once he was gone, at this point she doesn’t remember either.

The main tape I remember rewatching was the Raggedy Ann movie from the 80s that got super psychedelic and had elements of body horror.

xX_fnord_Xx,

There was also an unsettling retelling of Beowulf via awkward English dub. Watched now, it would probably be charming, but 4 year old me was petrified when the cuddly looking Grendel bit off a man’s head and you could see the stalks of arteries poking out of the neck stump.

I also watched the first episode of MadBalls more times than is probably healthy.

xX_fnord_Xx,

This vibes with me, but fifteen years ago me.

Installed Ubuntu on my first netbook and had to sit in the stairs to the second floor jacked into the single Ethernet cable we had for a few hours to troubleshoot it.

I haven’t used every distro, but it seems like most of them are plug and play these days.

xX_fnord_Xx,

Hey buddy, I can clearly lick my chickens whenever I want.

When you agree for a fifth time in German it’s actually a cheeky way of saying you disagree. /S

Why wasn't NYC's Central Park concept copied by other cities?

I’m talking about a massive park in the absolute heart of the city. Located such that is naturally surrounded by city high rises. *People are giving examples of parks that are way off in the boonies. I’m trying to say located centrally, heart of the city, you know where the high rises are. Yes I understand nyc has more, the...

Chicago has an emerald necklace as well. Also millennium Park might for ops request.

xX_fnord_Xx,

Came here to say this. The large parks connected by tree lined boulevards is called the Emerald Necklace.

xX_fnord_Xx,

Look at the king of England over here with a pillow and a double wide mattress!

xX_fnord_Xx,

As I understand it, the downside is that indigenous farmers mow down and/or burn local forests to plant the oil palms, destroying the areas biodiversity. Native animals that are used to living alongside a plethora of local plants suddenly have acres of trees that do not benefit them at all.

Correct me if I’m wrong. It seems like oil palms are the best for human farmers, not the environment.
