xkforce,

Either turn the news off or do something about it i.e protest, donate to the ACLU etc.

Watching the news and not taking any tangible action is a recipe for depression and is thoroughly pointless.

xkforce,

If he wanted the job (he doesn’t) if I thought that congress wouldn’t fight him (they would) if I thought the supreme court would allow most of what he wants to get done get done (they wont) and if I thought he had a better chance than Biden does of getting a second term (I dont) then sure.

Does AI-generated art posted on lemmy bother you?

I find that i can spot AI Images fairly easily these days, especially the sort of fantastical tableaus that get posted to the various AI communities around lemmy. I’m tired of seeing them; it all looks the same to me. Was wondering if im being too sensitive, or if other people are similarly bored of the constant unimaginative...

xkforce,

Then the copyright system needs to go away.

xkforce,

Learning random trivia is kind of both tbh

Ever tried to shut down an ADHD brain that has easy access to a multitude of distractions?

xkforce,

Its literally twitter.com and I despise musk so its called twitter for all of time.

xkforce,

People didn’t seem to mind fugly coal plants but now that weve got a clean energy source usually built in the middle of nowhere they suddenly have a problem with “visual pollution.”

To me it sounds a lot like those dudes that spew smoke out the back of their truck for no other reason than to “trigger” anyone they think might not approve.

xkforce,

All living or once living things have protein in them. Tea is no exception.

The transition from the holiday season back to the normal drudgery is so depressing. Is there any way to make Jan / Feb less depressing?

like, it’s still dark at 5pm, there are barely any sports on, still bitterly cold and austere and it hurts to go outside, but you’re not even looking forward to christmas or the new year. the new year is here, and it’s largely the same as last year. except you’re getting older.

xkforce,

You dont need permission to make a day special op

Wed rather deal with the formula and/or structure itself tbh.

xkforce,

Idk drilling peoples’ teeth and whatnot sounds like a warrior’s work in a way.

xkforce,
  1. There is nothing stopping you from making that change now. Waiting until the 1st is an indication that you probably wont follow through.
  2. Goals should be doable, measurable, have specific steps and have a specific end point.
xkforce,

Fundies. Seeing how ridiculus and backward their beliefs were made me wonder about my own beliefs and one by one they failed to withstand the scrutiny I put them through.

It is actually a Brassica Oleracea cultivar.

xkforce,

I remember people hating on voyager calling it “shitty nutrek” and now it is adored like TNG, TOS and DS9 are. Give it a few years and “nutrek” will be old trek and we will have a new set of trek series that “fans” will spit on.

The one time when misstyping your password was a good thing

xkforce,

I hate quiche. She thought I love quiche and was so proud of herself every time she would make it. Never told her otherwise.

xkforce,

Reuters and AP are about the most neutral, reputable news sources youll find.

xkforce,

This was years ago in the old walmart where I used to live. They mostly use theft as an excuse not to hire more people or raise wages now
