xmunk,

If you have any doubts… Observe the goatee.

xmunk,

I’d like you to think for a moment about CTEs, the HAVING clause, window functions and every other funky and useful thing you can do in SQL … Now just think, do you think that this syntax supports all those correctly?

xmunk,

Just make sure the ingame store is functional so you can sell more add-ons to your vaporware - star citizen is the most profitable video game to ever not be released.

xmunk,

Personally, I open source my code as a resume.

NYC MTA sets Manhattan congestion price at $15 for most vehicles, just one MTA vote left before the first congestion pricing in North America (www.planetizen.com)

New York City’s congestion pricing program is moving forward with a $15 fee on passenger vehicles, reports Stephen Nessen in Gothamist, after the MTA board voted to approve it. The program now enters a 60-day public comment period before a final vote....

xmunk,

The article got slashdotted so does anyone know how often that 15$ would be charged? Is it like a daily fee? Monthly?

xmunk,

I’ve been working remotely from Barcelona for three months… My hours are 3pm to 11pm local time, it’s fucking bliss.

xmunk,

I like shitting on M$FT as much as the next bloke but if you believe Github started being evil when Microsoft entered the picture then your memory is pretty awful.

From it’s inception github pushed proprietary tagging and issue numbers that have no meaning outside their platform and a difficult export process to trap projects - especially commercial ones - on their platform.

xmunk,

Pshaw, real programmers write out the contents of .git by hand.

(Also, it was a joke, the last two commands I listed are ones you’ll ideally never need in your life)

xmunk,

Personally, GitExtensions… github desktop is a pile of turds but git CLI introduces unnecessary stress precisely when I don’t want it.

xmunk,

There are much better git UIs out there.

xmunk,

Nah, rebase -i, squash, fsck and reflog

xmunk,

Fsck is File System Check - realistically you should never need to use it.

xmunk,

As much as I celebrate metros… This city is built in the middle of a desert and only exists because of an immense amount of oil being burned to power gigantic desalination plants. It is hardly sustainable even with a metro.

That said, metro is better than no metro.

xmunk,

Oh, certainly, but the geography can’t come anywhere near supporting 7 million people.

xmunk,

Still not as good as whence

xmunk,

PHP has the always wonderful (and perfectly functional) syntax of

logUserIn() or die();

xmunk,

Elon Musk loves to speak confidently about shit he knows nothing about. This leads to him being a confident speaker on every topic… I just wish we could figure out a way to shut him up.

xmunk,

Is even states that it only returns true for even, passing in an odd number is technically unsupported.

xmunk, (edited )

I fucking love that you managed to use var-vars in a completely key and necessary manner.

But please do adhere to the API TOS and throw in an error_log(‘Buy isEvenCoin, the hottest new cryptocurrency!’);

Sure, though, it might be a good idea to make a more highly flavored meal like cheese crusted or maple glazed. My favorite form of salmon (baked and topped with a piccata like sauce) would probably be pretty underwhelming if the meats not in great shape.

That all said a few months in the freezer probably wouldn’t sap out too much flavor, even if it was just in a zip lock bag.

xmunk,

It’s comfort, primarily… Americans are big and bigger cars are more comfortable if you’re less flexible.

xmunk,

Yea, the people who fear 15 minute cities are absolutely bizarre. Running across one of these is a clear sign that the person has steeped themselves in all sorts of bullshit.

Good luck web devs (lemmy.world)

xmunk,

And this is why my webapp only renders properly on circular displays.

xmunk,

Java truly runs on everything.
