You’re the only one talking about niche/specialty products though. Not denying that those products require extensive research, but I doubt that those products alone are responsible for the considerable markup on the typical alternative milk products, which truly are closer to “oats blended in water”, and probably make up a majority of sales.
Any contrarian food opinions are forced debate, and just plain stupid. Arguing that “pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza” is the logical equivalent to arguing “no one’s favorite color should be red”.
Another thing they’ll do is say “oh no, you don’t need renters insurance, we provide you with renters insurance and build it into the price of rent.” And then you read through the lease to see what exactly their “insurance” covers and it’s basically nothing, so you have to get your own anyways, essentially paying for it twice.
