Asklemmy - what specs for a self-hosted Lemmy instance?

Hi all, a shout-out for assistance. I’m considering hosting a Lemmy instance (assuming I can pass the wife test on costs) and I’m looking for some guidance on specs....

Kbin federation change?

Was there recently a kbin backend change? I haven’t been able to see kbin posts all week but they’re populating now.

I don’t want to see porn on my feed, so i disabled nsfw. However, alot of memes are marked as nsfw. Is there anyway a new system could be implemented here in Lemmy? Like a nsfw filter and a rnsfw(really not safe for work)?

What's your opinion on cross-posting?

One of the hurdles to change for users switching from reddit to a federated platform is less content. The logic goes: “smaller community, less content, I can see i’m missing out on stuff over there so I’m not going to switch away”....
