Bear_with_a_hammer, to piracy in PSA: The popular leech client Stremio got an upgrade to spoof other clients than TorrentStorm.

Did anyone create issue yet?

LunchEnjoyer, to piracy in Introducing Coaxist: a single Docker container for running Plex + Debrid with automatic request fetching
@LunchEnjoyer@lemmy.world avatar

Does this mean we only need one debrid account when using plex in different places? I am currently responsible for the movie+series management in my family and will put things on plex for whatever is in demand. However it would be nice if I didnt have to do this, and that they could just fetch things themeselves in Plex. Not super keen on having to pay for a debrid account per location, as debrid will ban the account if seen to be used on different public addresses (if im not mistaken)

I could never get it to work well, every movie I tried would only play for a few seconds then buffer, then just become unplayable, on very good Internet.

Lodra, to linux in kando: 🥧 The Cross-Platform Pie Menu.
@Lodra@programming.dev avatar

Has anyone here tried Kando yet? Looks like a very nice tool. How does it compare to typical keyboard shortcuts?

Chewy7324,

This project is currently in a very early stage of development. Kando is not yet a functional menu but rather a prototype which demonstrates the feasibility of the concept.

Since Kando is still in early development, it might be a good idea to look at the Gnome Extension Fly-Pie. It’s from the same developer and it looks like Kando will be similar.

guillermohs9, to linux in GitHub - SerenityOS/serenity: The Serenity Operating System 🐞

His coding videos are really nice to see. I don’t even understand that much, as it’s mostly C++, but the coding, the explanation, and the final feature and commit is somehow relaxing.

Thats cool! I am curious, how does this differ from github.com/itsToggle/plex_debrid or in one image github.com/I-am-PUID-0/pdrcrd ?

@mplewis@lemmy.globe.pub avatar

The main difference between this project and the ones you listed is that this project includes a Plex installation out of the box. The other projects require you to connect to a separate Plex instance.

Will this convert a home edition to pro?

speq,

It does, pretty easily. There’s a convenient “change Windows edition” menu item.

It’s MS. They couldn’t secure a cup of coffee.

dudewitbow,

You have to hand it to mocrospft though in the console department, xbox generally dont have software hacks to jailbreak consoles historically (generally hard mods), but nintendo and sonys OS is usually riddled with exploits.

dudewitbow,

The WiiU had far.backeards compatibility and very low population, but was not immune to exploits.

Officially wii, had built in emulators for old retro consoles and stuff, and unofficially gamecube.

Bread,

To add to this, not one person has jail broken a steam deck. Not because it is impossible, but because it would be pointless.

SSUPII, to linux in yas-bdsm: Yet Another Stow-Based Dotfiles System Manager

He knows

NateSwift,

You can think of yas-bdsm eject as your safeword.

He definitely knows

AJamesBrown,

You can put whatever you wish inside of YAS-BDSM as long as everyone is having a good time.

Feel free to use it (or get used by it).

DengueDucky, to piracy in gluetun: VPN client in a thin Docker container for multiple VPN providers

What’s the use case?

roofuskit,
@roofuskit@kbin.social avatar

The container connects to the VPN and only the VPN, now you can route whatever docker containers you want through that container as a network. Now that one VPN connection can serve any container you want.

@themoonisacheese@sh.itjust.works avatar

They are definitely in a crackdown phase. Some revanced versions stopped working just yesterday, the yt-dlp stuff, the ad block block…

The best hope would be to get off of YouTube but that’s not happening any time soon given how expensive bandwidth is.

GreenMario,

I updated mine last week cuz it was stopping videos a minute in. Seems to work for now.

pazzeda,

Had the same issue, updating the patches via the manager worked.

Gorejelly, to RedditMigration in Hide Reddit Search Results
@Gorejelly@kbin.social avatar

This is a great tip.

Also, you can just copy “-reddit” (the parts in between the quotes) and append it to any search (with every search engine I tested) to have reddit results removed. You could just have it in a text file easily accessible or make a macro or an autohotkey to do it if you don’t want to copy and paste every time.

Never heard of this app! Can't even find it on f-droid as of now!

BeeBitMyBottom,

Not on F-Droid yet, it's too new. A fork of the abandoned Lemmur
