When I was younger I really didn’t get societal norms super well, a girl asked me to rate her and I thought she was not ugly, not gorgeous, I gave her a 7 out of 10. She was offended lol. Didn’t even realize she was flirting with me until years later lmao
No I just tell people I don’t rate people that way. Because for one my attraction is not based on appearance mostly, and also no one is a 10 to me because no one is perfect, so they’ll never be happy with the answer. So I outright refuse with that reasoning. Like I’m not gonna rate the girl over there that’s clearly pretty who may be more physically attractive just so I can rate you lower physically despite caring for you more and finding you way more attractive overall.
You sound like the dude in the image lol. I don’t mean that in a bad way, just a funny observation. I get it too, because whenever my friends and I see a movie we have these sort of debates. I rate 1 to 5 and everyone else does 1 to 10. I say I can’t do 1 to 10 because it is too granular and it’s a subjective thing anyways. It’s funny how something so simple as “rate X on a scale of whatever” can turn into such a massive dilemma.
Treasure your badly-scanned papers from 1980, and be thankful you didn’t have to do historical research by sorting through bad scans from the 1980s of printouts of microfilm archives (yes, instead of scanning the microfilm) of photos of the original documents that were photographed in 1961 at a 45° angle by a lazy archivist who used the cheapest film he could get his hands on. And the scans have blotches that make some pages literally unreadable because the microfilms were allowed to sit exposed to moisture for 25 years before being digitized. No I’m not bitter and my collegiate education wasn’t a waste, not one bit of either.
… Not IT approved, but well… we use an MSP, and I get to be a decision maker in the company for certain things, and just do it, because well… I can, and the company keeps me around partially for the things I do with python and sql.
I would like to say Pandas should be used for much of that excel stuff, maybe even replace it, but… Microsoft has decided to bring Python capabilities into excel, so that will likely cement them in your workflow even further:
I’ve found the selling point in not needing to open excel and click around to run the script. So often people need to do like the same three things and don’t even know how to write Python, so giving them a script to drag your file onto is a step up from excel
You realize moving is a big deal, right? I could talk for 20 minutes about the challenges but the biggest one currently is that I’m extremely far from my lease’s end date.
Only partially related but i am going to hop on my soapbox to inform everyone that honeybees are an invasive species in the US and others places. While they are not the sole cause of native bee/pollinator die off they are one of the largest factors contributing to it. Save native bees!
Boost by default loads a lower resolution image (even while viewing the image). If you tap on an image to “full screen” it, there should be a button in the top right corner labeled “HD”. Tapping it should load the full resolution image
Alternatively, go to “Settings > Advanced > Media Viewer > Load HQ images” to always load full resolution images
