My concern is viruses and I was curious if you could force an internal hdd/external hdd to ONLY connect to the virtual machine in vmware and make is so that it doesn’t connect to the host at all. I know that you can connect external drive to vmware but it will auto connect to the host if no vmware machine is running....

I have a very short equipment rack installed in my server closet. It is only 16 inches deep, fine for most networking uses, but not great for most rack-mount server cases....

Well known KDE developer Nate Graham is out with a blog post today outlining his latest Wayland thoughts, how X11 is a bad platform, and the recent topic of “Wayland breaking everything” isn’t really accurate....

I think I might cancel. I’m not watching ads and I’m not going to pay the extra $3/mo to opt out. I don’t know if I’d end up paying more than the subscription cost in shipping though…...

Does anyone know of any software that encrypts some information and only releases the encryption key once a certain amount of time has passed? Or anything remotely similar? Was having trouble finding the right words to search for this.

I went for a walk in the woods and found multiple fallen branches with this fairly long growth on them....
