As the Fediverse grows more and more, rules and regulations become more important. For example, is Lemmy GDPR complient? If not, are admins aware of the possible consequence? What does this mean for the growth of Lemmy?

From mashable r/pics has been “forced” to transition to NSFW by “following the policy”.
I see people cross-posting but I don’t know how they are doing it. All I see for posting options on the lemmy interface is a single community I can select.
I really liked Spotify, but when they started subsidizing hate speech I left. For the last year, I keep trying different platforms and cannot find anything that works well. I am ok with spending money for no ads. I have very diverse music tastes so want to have different “stations” based on my mood. Any suggestions?
I was gonna ask about the biometrics part in a separate question, but its both about security, so might as well combine it in one post....
Basically the title. I am thinking I want to start my own instance but not sure what is required? Can someone give me a tldr or link to proper webpage?
I feel like over the past few months, the main thing preventing me from getting super active in the fediverse has been all of the drama surrounding federation and instances shutting down....
Sticky so that we have one place to discuss.
I recently opened the app to ensure that it infact does not work anymore, but it just showed me the newest feed, like it did before. What is going on here? Are people funding this? Or have they switched to a third party API for read only?
To someone who is subscribed to multiple communities on Reddit, has there been any change in their feed in their quality or amount of posts since July 1st? Any change in the amount of comments in the posts? Even the number of community subscribers?...
I can see the comment contents by selecting View source on a deleted comment. Is this a bug or a feature? Or something configurable per instance?...
What would be some fact that, while true, could be told in a context or way that is misinfomating or make the other person draw incorrect conclusions?
I would love to find someplace to talk about roadtripping, comparing routes and whatnot.
So I’m tired of dealing with Google not respecting my content preferences and I’m looking for a story viewer with a little bit more control. Anyone have any ideas or good programs?
Think of it as “people kibble”. Without shame, I would eat Cheetos as my solitary food item for the rest of my life (CRUNCHY, not puffs)
I’m just trying to gauge if the performance gain will be worth the additional effort and have some questions;...
If you do, then what exactly defines a soul in your view?
I’m curious, does anybody else sit down in the shower. (That’s right not a typo. Sitters, not shitters)...
This question may be moot but it’s something I’ve been thinking about. I’ve only recently jumped into this brave new world so you’ll have to forgive my ignorance....
So I moved from feddit.de to lemmy.world and wish to delete my account on Feddit but I have a few posts there that will be useful to others, will they get deleted with the account?
Is it a problem with my app? I’m using liftoff.
I want to use an IC that will take x4 3.0 PCIe lanes, and adds a USB 3.1 controller....
Mine would wear a back shirt and dark green shorts (summer edition), and hiking sandals....
