Kichae, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Eh, I still use it a little bit. I follow Blue Jays games via the team's subreddit, and the Pathfinder community hasn't really migrated over, so scan that every couple of days. And the memes have just clobbered my feed these last couple of days, even after blocking most of the meme groups.

But I'm using Reddit very differently now.

ApollosArrow, in Okay, how do I block all this meme stuff?
@ApollosArrow@kbin.social avatar

While yes, you can block them like people have said (which I do) a new place pops up everyday. It’s like whack a mole. I would love to have some kind of filter that automatically blocks any magazine/community with the word “meme” in it. I would like to not always stay on subscribed so I can see more content and not create and echo chamber for myself.

Psiczar, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Yes, but I’ve deleted all of my posts & comments.

I needed a tech question answered, and a Reddit post had the exact question I was asking, I clicked on it and the answer had been deleted.

The irony made me laugh.

Internet Archive to the rescue!

Psiczar,

You know, that is a bloody good idea, I ended up fixing my problem though.

Nope! Not once since the blackout began.

No

nutomic, in How do other Europeans survive the raining season in Asia?
@nutomic@lemmy.ml avatar

You could go to sauna to get used to the heat, and cool yourself off in the cold bath. Sauna is generally awesome, and in Korea there are public saunas everywhere.

Version, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I usually check the subreddit redditmobile to see if they actually fixed the app.

syphe, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I still visit about 3 sub-reddits, all on a browser with ad-block, and I completely avoid commenting, I probably should start using libreddit. Haven't touched the front page since the initial blackout

coldv, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I am surprised how little I miss Reddit after June. I realised I was really dependent on RIF. I downloaded an RSS app instead (Inoreader) and followed some subs that I used to frequent. I check it once every few days as opposed to many times a day before the collapse.

lynny, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?
@lynny@lemmy.world avatar

No. They killed bacon reader so I no longer post.

If Reddit is in the search results I’ll click, but that’s it.

minorsecond, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I log in for one niche sub that has no activity in the Lemmy equivalent, and only once every few days.

Maheswara, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Actually I left reddit long before migration… Came to know about Lemmy only after the API controversy…

I nuked all the content of my Reddit account, then forced it to be banned from Reddit. After that, blacklisted the domain from my computer so that it just returns a (ERR_NX_DOMAIN) and migrated to KBin instead
Been happy since

SuiXi3D, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?
@SuiXi3D@kbin.social avatar

I quit Reddit as soon as it came out how much they wanted to charge Christian for running Apollo. Joined up on /kbin and have been incredibly happy with it.

Aviandelight, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?
@Aviandelight@mander.xyz avatar

Me personally no, I quit on June 11th and I haven’t looked back. My husband on the other hand looks at it periodically. He showed my something from r/PartyParrot yesterday thinking it was cool and I had to tell him it was a popular repost. Pretty much cemented the fact that I’m not missing anything.
