Just a reminder that not only is covid not over, but in many places infections are on the rise again and people are still dying, while vaccines become less and less accessible, no other official measures taken (like recommending masks on public transport), and more and more long term effects of infection come to light.
As a vulnerable person, the fact that people talk about it like it's in the past scares the shit out of me.
So.. You're still judging her harshly, despite finding out you were wrong (and decades behind everyone else, which takes some intentional avoidance of the topic, and clearly without taking in to consideration the impact people, well, like you, had on her mental health).
Similar to the recent question about artists where you can successfully separate them from their art. Are there any artists who did something so horrible, so despicable, that it has instantly invalidated all art that they have had any part in?
We need to stop attempts to normalize the system that requires grind/hustle lifestyle to exist
Most people are killing their selves being killed by said system, that demands third jobs and to share apartments because those at the top need another yacht.
wait until you hear about renting (for those of us who really don't have a choice) - you get to be a wage slave and at the mercy of a greedy landlord..

Yeah, class reductionism will only ever lead to more oppression of those already marginalised.
If your leftism doesn't include intersectionality, you're doing it wrong.
(to be clear - "culture wars" are a right winged distraction, but they are based on very real and massively impactful systems of oppression that they are trying to maintain, ignoring this only enables them, and guarantees those systems will remain even if we get economical change)
There is moss everywhere around here (UK), on pavements, paths, lawns.. Never mind in wooded and otherwise rural areas. Honestly it would seem harder to avoid occasionally walking on it..
Right, because there isn't rampant capitalism and wide spread poverty pretty much everywhere else too.. 🙄🙄🙄
(am in UK and you're full of shit. I recommend checking your privilege, or at least taking your head out of your ass long enough to have a look around)
and the cookies that they use to spy on people to determine the probability of you being a human
which is why I assume, as a VPN user who rejects as many cookies as possible, I constantly have to do 5-6 fucking captchas in a row, sometimes more, before it'll let me through.. I can't be that bad at doing them lol
Is it frustrating? Fuck yeah. Will it get me to change my behaviour and drop those measures so that the companies getting in my way can collect more of my data? Fuck no.
Except artificial scarcity means "supply" is often sat at the start line rotting away (or becoming obsolete), waiting for those making all the money while they manipulate the markets to increase their own profit..
Also, I'd much rather use a sled that takes longer (zoomies, laser, toy, there are ways!), but that the animals pulling it not only stop to poop, but bury it too, rather than going-on-the-go and having it spray all over the sled users.. 😂
They can't answer that, because the source was never the issue, they never even clicked through to see what the source was. Them being a bootlicker who can't help but jump to the defence of and make excuses for the pigs is the only reason for this thread..

I guess at a certain point in life you just say fuck it and go back to what you know.
Or you've been abused for so long as well as isolated from all your friends and family, that you're easily manipulated back in to a situation you('ve been made to) feel you can never escape.

If you got COVID and lost the ability to taste things, did it ever come back? Otherwise, did you experience any other long term consequences from the pandemic in general?
Never heard any follow ups on the taste thing, so I need answers...

Looks like UK is going the same way as a few states. Spare a thought for us. So messed up this increasing surveillance state.

given how little one vote matter, it seems to me that stripping felons of their right to vote is both petty and counterproductive if the point was to reform them into civic minded individuals ?
Also, seems kind of scary that this implies a future where so many people are in prison that their vote could actually tip the balance ?
