I want to power this board with a 14v battery. The board has a 1s battery connector that can power the board and read the voltage via ADC. Is there something I could place between the two to lower the voltage and still have a battery voltage reading? I would not be charging the battery through this. The usb port would not be...
I’m curious and am playing around with a new EDA tool and am looking at practicing by designing a PCB which should be roughly 28x26mm footprint (give or take a few mm…)....
Hi, I found an old cellphone battery (from a Pixel3A phone) and I’d like to reuse it for my robotics experiments. (link to images: imgur.com/a/Oj09tai)...
I’m looking for a version of this connector (2x2, 2.54mm):...
Hi, I've been unable to ID the pictured capacitor to track down a spec sheet or source. Do any of you folks recognize it? Pictured are two different capacitors that look to be identical except for slightly different markings....
I've been watching a couple of YouTube videos doing component-level repair. I've noticed some of them have super fine multimeter probes, often with insulation covering most of the length of the probe. I haven't found ones like this on my usual sites, but I'm not sure if I'm just missing something. Can anyone suggest some meter...

Just exploring about this tp-link XN020-G3v router. I’m mostly interested in connecting to the UART, won’t be tinkering with electronics of it, but out of curiosity I tried to search what these chips are. and I couldn’t find much about the big chip. Can anyone describe the 4 main chips on it ? Best would be datasheet, but...
hi again, since i had a bad idea in my last post i wanted to try again to get some feedback i could understand and apply....
So I’m a refrigeration tech with some electronics manufacturing experience. But I’ve never combined the 2 skillsets so I’ve been toying with the idea of building a large vapor chamber to cool a computer via direct immersion in a refrigerant. I know its about as far from practical as you can get but it sounds like fun....
I’m getting a little bit frustrated with my AliExpress 2.54mm dupont ribbon cables. The female housings get loose after just a few cycles, and the connections start falling apart easily....
Hi all...
Salutations to Davide A. for this creation as an alternate.
I have a few old posts on the subreddit and i need to view one of them as i am reviving an old project. there is a comment on one of them that has the info i need. I never screenshotted that info....

I migrated here in the US (specifically in San Bernardino, CA). Quick Intro: I’m a graduate electrical engineer; honestly, I really don’t have that much experience and not even a decent internship experience due to covid, resulting in an online OJT. Do you think doing an internship here in the US is the way to go? If yes,...
So I’m doing some testing of USB-C cables using a tester and a constant load (I’ll have another post soon with some questions on this). But before running each test, I’m checking the E-mark chip and then enumerating the charge capabilities of each to see what they report being capable of....
I am making a graphics card on the tang nano 20k board. I tried synthesising the design in the official IDE and it output:...
Thanks for all your votes and comments. From the icons that were submitted as requested, the results were as follows:...
I am looking for a Toggle switch that will allow me to actuate an actuator manually, or otherwise set the actuator to an ‘automatic’ mode, logic for which which I am coding on an arduino. The switch I want should have momentary On’s for manual trimming that will spring back to an Off position, or it can be left in another...
So I wanted to design a children's toy, where the electronics could last 100 years (ignoring mechanical abuse). I figured some people here might be interested....
Hello, I have a strange problem with the LM337 regulator. I have built a classic LM317/337 power supply - and it works, giving proper voltage, etc. however when I start it under load (approx. 300mA per regulator) using a switch, the LM337 goes into some sort of protection (audible buzz), but when I start the circuit under load...
Hi everyone, I’ve just resurrected a broken Weller TCP1 and need a 24v ac supply for it....
