I could never get my bluetooth microphone to work under Linux, and I was having to input my password many times every day just to accomplish simple tasks. Couldn’t even make the password into a PIN, that wasn’t allowed for some reason.
If you’re talking about using sudo you can edit your sudoers file to make it so that whenever you use sudo in a terminal session you don’t have to use the password for the remainder of that session. It’s not an immediately obvious solution to most people so I’m not saying this to downplay your experience by any means, just letting people know this stuff is changeable
Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mad Max: Fury Road, A Knight’s Tale, Tokyo Godfathers, Life Aquatic.
I’ve seen them all at least 5-10 times fully and probably more times partially. It’s definitely a wide spectrum, and one of them is not what you would call a “good” movie compared to the others. I’ll let you decide which, but I’m hella not ashamed.
Programmer and big Linux fan here. I use Linux for multiple servers/vm’s. For a while I also had Linux on my desktop and using a Windows VM with PCI-passtrough for gaming. It works. However I came to the conclusion I was only using the PC for gaming (on the VM), and doing all my programming on my MacBook. So basically the Linux part on my desktop was just useless. Although I want to, I don’t have any use cases for Linux on the desktop.
Peter Jackson’s lord of the rings trilogy extended edition. I bought a 4k tv and bluray player just for the 4k release last summer I think it was. (not the shitty hobbit)
We do an extended edition marathon at least twice a year, sometimes more if it’s been a tough time. Last time we watched them was the week before getting married, to distract me from my stress.
I’m currently rereading the books and once that’s done we’ll do our first marathon as marrieds! 😄
I simultaneously hate to think, and also am very proud, of how many times we must have seen them by now.
One thing to keep in mind with something like Syncthing is where the physical location of the other machine(s) is. The nice thing about cloud storage is that your data is in an entirely different geographic region, so if there’s a hurricane, flood, fire, etc. your data is still safe. That being said, I use Google drive at the moment so I’ll also be keeping an eye on this post for alternatives.
I sit and feel horrible about myself, mentally punishing myself for all of the mistakes. About an hour or two later, my mind gives up, and I become pragmatic.
Lol, haha, I never thought about that. I used to watch a shit-ton of movies as a teen. Got into horror movies, David Lynch and weird stuff early on so I kind of dove into the deep end very early and with no social life there was a lot of time to watch a lot of stuff.
I seem to be having a phase where I don’t really watch movies that much (series more than ever), but when I do it’s usually kind of “comfort food” so I’m mostly watching all-time favorites over and over again.
Although I do use Linux (so should not respond here, I know), the reasons are probably similar to why Android vs iOS. They are different philosophies. No-one really is wrong, it is about personal fit.
