Its weird how one just know stuff in dreams despite having no evidence. Sometimes I might even realise it was false when I wake up, despite being completely sure its true while in the dreaming.
Nope. Left as soon as Apollo ended.
Only went back to transfer all my subscriptions using the Voyager tool - found under settings “migrate subreddits”. On June 29 I used a different tool to delete all my posts on Reddit. I’m leaving my empty account there as a form of protest.
Almost every subreddits to specific games that I play (Celeste, Hollow Knight, etc), either has no federative alternatives or is still far more active on Reddit. Like 95% of contents I watch does not exist anywhere else.
Same and it’s worse when you find one and you end up being the only person to post in it and you feel it’s too specific to post in the popular gaming communities.
I think I’m like most people here on this one. I avoid Reddit unless I absolutely need to find an answer to a question that can only be solved by a random saint from, like, 5 years ago
I have been using the official Reddit app from my cakeday (did not know about all the other apps until they were gone), and have opened the app like every other day but haven’t made a comment since I switched to Lemmy.
Sometimes I open up the home page to see what’s up, then I see what’s up is less interesting than it used to be and less interesting than what’s happening here. And I close it pretty quickly. I’m still using it as part of my Google searches when I need quick human answers. It’s gonna continue to be a historical resource in that regard. No getting around that. But my account only exists so that I can access those resources without too much fuss. It’s not something I use to post or contribute. I used the Sign In With Apple feature to just generate a throwaway anonymous account after I deleted my 11 year old account.
