How do I prevent this? Whenever an article gets popular it gets posted to the news community of every single instance so you have to scroll by it several times a day for a week. Is there a “prevent duplicates” option in any of the clients? I’m pretty close to abandoning lemmy honestly. There’s very little content that...

We’ve tried the usual of calling police (three times), inviting them over to hear how loud it is (they agreed that it was very loud), asking to at least reduce the bass, blasting our own music (not sustainable) and so on. Sometimes it works for a day but inevitably it’s back to the usual....

Some days ago, a neighbor invited me over because she was donating books that belonged to her husband, who died from covid during the pandemic. There were a lot of books, and even by choosing only the ones which caught my attention, I was able to get over 100 different books....

I think that the additional weight on the water on the surface of the outer airplane body increases friction with the air, and also weight of the aircraft. But does the fuel consumption increase? And by how much?
