Sony, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Blizzard/Activision, EA, Every car company (I only buy pre 2010 cars). I could go on but you get the idea. Modern megacorps are fuckin gross.
In my area most people suggest Gatorade or pedialyte (my go to). Going without a meal or a few is okay, but make sure to drink, get electrolytes, and make sure it has sugar in it.
The term AMA is technically copyrighted. Nobody here really cares much though, except maybe the admins that have their hardware in countries where they’re vulnerable to being sued for hosting copyright infringing stuff.
People on Lemmy are referred to as Lemmings, named after the animal, which makes its homes in burrows. One day someone asked what the equivalent here for “subreddit” was and burrows were mentioned and everyone was like “yeah let’s do that”… I still have the reply chain link that shows all that, though the post itself is removed, so on my end that exchange doesn’t show up anymore.
It’s a convoluted anime reference. Shinigami are the Japanese equivalent to reapers and commonly feature in Shintoism which finds its way into anime. “Ookami” and “Ryuu” are anime characters associated with shinigami. I forgot the whole story of my username, but I know I was attempting to copy over from DeviantArt which is a site I use too.
Yes, but what I mean is I didn’t expect Reddit to go full Hollywood on the term. It would be like Lemmy gatekeeping the term Lemming. So I then wondered if maybe someone else seized that opportunity.
Thats not the point, I want to make aure I don’t spend time on something Redit can use against us or influence. I don’t like when things CAN be taken away from me. Thats why everybody relies on contracts to maximize certainty in the future
I cannot speak for anyone aside from myself, but I would be confident betting on the fact Reddit won’t weaponize if we do as you were asking. I myself enjoy these liberties frequently. I am the world record holder for the most sites having been signed up for (a strange world record some might say, but hey, a landmark is a landmark) and I’ve never come across a place where people complained about acronyms.
I don’t like others having the power to put a pin it it for me. Its more important to me that someone can’t influence my choices than whether they would, does that make sense? Buy the land before you build the cottage, don’t be improvisitory on this thing
Moe is hard to define (I can’t do it), but if you just switch it for “cute” no one will probably know the difference. So: Fit-cute, kimono-cute, smol-cute, etc. Also, it’s used as an adjective, so some is more, not is a moe.
To add to this: cinnamon toast. Butter some bread, smear cinnamon sugar on it and microwave for thirty seconds. With bread goes down easy, and cinnamon toast is definitely the best way I came up with to get some carbs.
My issue was with my swallowing. So actual toast was too crunchy to reliably get down. When the butter melted in the microwave, it sort of “set” into the bread. So it was super soggy and easily “dissolved” in my throat. So I personally couldn’t really eat “solid” foods. Microwaved cinnamon toast was the best way I found to get carbs.
Yeah, I tried it toasted. I dealt with this for over two months. I tried just about everything. I know everyone is coming from a good place with these suggestions. I’m trying not to come across unpleasant, but it feels like it has the same energy as asking a depressed person if they’d tried being happy before.
I promise, I tried it. I put effort into putting food into my body that wouldn’t get caught in my throat and make me feel like I was going to choke and die. At one point I had 7 appointments with 6 different doctors in a two and a half week span. I really genuinely put effort into finding something I could eat. Soylent and mashed potatoes and soggy bread got me through it. I got sick of people telling me how much weight I’d lost like I didn’t own a mirror. I got sick of people telling me I’m just not cooking things right.
I went through something I think is similar to op, and I offered my suggestions. I’m not saying this is what op or anyone needs to do.
I’m just saying this is what helped me when I couldn’t eat, give it a shot if you want.
I am trying to understand, why are they saying toast when it’s not toasted? If it’s crispy enough to be called toast, turn it down some more.
I’ve never had a toaster that couldn’t put out warm not crispy bread. So yeah it’s confusing that someone would need to use a microwave for what a toaster is designed for.
Facebook and Elon Musk’s companies (both’s effects on global society are way more egregious than other tech companies,) pretty much any company that wears faith on their sleeve
I have a nice aluminum stepladder. I discovered the handiest place to store it is behind the living room curtain. Much easier than in a closet. And much safer than climbing on chairs!
