Oh! Have they fixed their supplying issues? I haven’t had a drink in a while, but for years they were having trouble keeping stock in most stores because they had a distillery fire and had to run with what they had stored. Even after that, any time I’d find a place that would get some, they’d only be able to get a single case in and it would be sold out within a day or 2. I basically had to get lucky and happen to stop by the same day they got it in, but before they stocked the shelves. It was probably solid 5-6 years of never seeing it on a shelf and only getting it if I asked for it and they go it from the back.
I’m not sure. That’s the first I’ve heard of a fire. It’s pretty easy to find in my area, but I can’t speak for the rest of the country. I have noticed the price go up some in recent years, but I assumed it was from popularity and just general inflation.
Well, call me old fashioned but as my friend is a fan of American bourbon, I thought asking American’s what American bourbon they recommended might be the best idea.
I’m ready for downvotes but I use Apple Music and it plays me new music all the time. And if it repeats a song I just say suggest less and it goes away. I play my station and it’s a nice mix of music I like and new stuff.
I am when Apple Music pays the artists 3x what Spotify does per stream. At least my money is going to the content creators, not some dickhead Spotify exec.
The service has improved every time though in Apple’s defense…and if there’s one company I actually trust to improve on its services it is Apple (not a fanboy, they have their own issues, just delivering quality consistently isn’t one of them).
The most marked increase is in the overall Apple One bundle. Its lowest, or individual tier, used to cost $16.95 per month but as of now, it is $19.95 per month.
Similarly, the Family Apple One tier has risen from $22.95/month to $25.95/month. And the Premier tier is now up from $32.95 to $37.95.
The price rise for Apple One comes at the same time as increases for many of its major constituent services.
Apple TV+ was $6.99/month, now $9.99 Apple News+ was $9.99/month, now $12.99 Apple Arcade was $4.99/month, now $6.99
I’m using Appel music as well and I think it’s great for the most part. It sometimes has a weird bug where it won’t play downloaded music unless you have internet though.
Spotify has that bug too, and it’s infuriating. Whenever I’m on a plane or something I have to put Spotify in “offline mode”, otherwise it just refuses to play all the music I’ve downloaded.
Even as a primarily Android user, I agree. I have tried most music streaming services at this point and Apple Music has been the best for helping me discover music. Most others play it too safe with the algorithm and only play music I already like.
Another plus is Apple Music is one of the last remaining music platforms that is not trying to shove podcasts down my throat.
Most others play it too safe with the algorithm and only play music I already like.
I’m pretty sure it’s not the algorithm but rather some agreed upon rates for streaming. The more they stream the same stuff, the less they pay per stream. Same shit that killed radio.
I know that feeling. I’m torn between Apple Music and Spotify myself. Spotify is just that much more convenient for me but at the same time, so is Apple Music…
Creating it is a job to give someone they want to promote. It gives them visibility with a large amount of management and tells that management that this person is moving up. The resulting whatever becomes a thing managers can then use to justify just about any decision they make. It is also used for countless hours of meeting where the real goal is for the “leadership” to advertise how important they are. I shit you not, the company I worked at previously had full on film crews with makeup professions make glamor videos of direct level folks talking about it like they were imparting wisdom from the ages.
I just got done living in KY for about 5 years, the one I like for a reasonable price was Basil Hayden, I think it’s from the Jim beam distillery but it’s not too expensive and it’s nice and smooth. But there are literally thousands of different bourbon and even one distillery group might have several brand names, like the owners of Jim beam actually makes old grandad, makers mark, and knob creek as well
Jim Beam does make a ton of other brands as the biggest distillery, but Maker’s Mark has their own distillery. They are owned by Beam Suntory though, but they still have their own distillery, aging warehouses, etc. that you can tour. You even get to dip your own bottle into the red wax - I still have mine!
I went in August 2014, and while they had a new cask strength blend they were doing, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
I did get to dip a bottle of that new stuff and still have it. I can’t remember how they explained it to me, that it wasn’t the first run but was still the first batch, or first batch but not the first run or something. Anyway I figured some collector might want it some day, or maybe I’ll just drink it when I find out it’s worthless in 20 years. It’s still decent bourbon!
Ah ok. I just watched the first 2 episodes and they were quite brutal. But so was e.g. Samurai Champloo, Dorohedoro or Cyberpunk Edgerunners and in all of them the banter between the protagonists made the brutal environment bearable. So yeah the comic relief could work for OP only if he’s used to the dark undertone in those animes.
I remember this album from when it came out, but I first heard this song again about a month ago. It encapsulates y feelings about the Gaza war, and how the more I learn, the more I feel like there are very few moral choices one can make.
