Is this a precursor to the propeller beanie saga? I remember a panel where Calvin is vibrating from eating so much sugar.

TootSweet, in 30 November 1986

I always loved the extra first two panels and felt sorry for folks who got newspapers that didn’t allocate space for those two.

But mostly I got the treasury collections, so I always had the extra two panels. (Still have 'em all. I should read them more.)

37 years. F*ck.

intensely_human, in 26 November 1986

As a civil engineer I can confirm this is correct.

acockworkorange, in 24 November 1986

You can tell that that’s what his mom told him so he’d be interested in eating his lunch and I love it.

Anticorp, in 24 November 1986

Calvin is so cute when he’s happy.

Relatable, which is sometimes rare for C&H

moistclump, in 21 November 1986

That was a cute story arc. I enjoy these daily comics.

I never understood why he couldn’t just go onstage. Nobody can see what’s under the costume!

Feathercrown, in 20 November 1986

I totally forgot about the onion saga

Staiden, in 19 November 1986

There’s a whole series of calvin in the onion suit comics, they were some of my favorites growing up.

21Cabbage, in 16 November 1986

I know people who can make it snow but it has to be cold enough.

dan1101, in 13 October 1986

There is a lot to explain, where is the alien from, what are they like, can they legally get married, who made the Elvis clone, was it intended for it to have 2 heads, and if so why?

Klystron, in 9 October 1986

Haha fuck I remember reading this as a kid and not understanding what the hell this meant. 15 years later I finally get it lol

everett, in 7 October 1986

So this was the plan all along… get a nationally-syndicated comic strip, corrupt the youth and bug parents all across America. We’re onto you, Water-son.
