Apple is so notorious at doing this, it’s not even funny anymore. The article didn’t mention these two famous sherlocking cases though:

• Apple blocked the FlickType Watch keyboard… then announced a clone of it
• Apple cloning f.lux functionality after the dev approached Apple for iOS support
