There are two dead lemmy.ml communities I would like to request. What would be the process in gaining control of the communities? I do have a lemmy.ml account that I occassionally log into if that helps.
I know that Thunder can filter the posts but only limited. It only hides the currently loaded ones and only on button press. You need to do it over and over. Is there an app that does it automatically?
I'm trying to contact a user on lemmy, but can't dm them (it's not clear to me if this is a bug or if dms don't work across instances or software, but either way it's not working). My next workaround would be to ping them in a microblog post, but lemmy doesn't have a microblog section. Would a lemmy user receive a notification...

My Lemmy instance has reached 100% storage so I can no longer use it. Is there a safe way I can clear cache or make some more space available without upgrading the disk space? I set up the instance with the ansible script many months ago and migrating to object storage seems to be a decent amount of work I don’t have to commit...
When clicking the cross-post icon, a search box appears where you can select the community to cross-post to. It shows announcement communities that disallow posting. It allowed me to select !lemmyverse. But then when I clicked “create” it just goes to lunch and gives an endless spinner. That’s a really shitty behavior. The...
If you’re like me, you would join one Lemmy instance, and then join a community by one of the following ways,...
I’m running Lemmy through Docker. Because I have problems with the performance of my Lemmy instance I wanted to tune my PostgreSQL container to better utilise my RAM. Foolishly I skipped that step when I initially set everything up....
2 days ago (see 2) I posted something into the !programmer_humor community which got almost 1000 upvotes (see 1) while the user numbers for the last week are at 131 (see 3), this doesn’t add up. How can 131 users upvote almost 1000 times?
today i woke up to problems logging in lemmy.ml, i was logged out from all my apps, any attempts of logging in in apps and via web were failing without any meaningful message, only jerboa told me im banned, so yeah, a message while logging in or an email would be nice...

I’m just starting with lemmy, so this may be a very basic question, but why do these numbers differ? I’ve searched for and subscribed to cats community for example. Why all the comments/reactions haven’t been synced?...
If there a way to filter other languages or something? It’s good they’re there, but seeing posts from communities that communicate entirely in a language I don’t read is basically useless and in tired of filtering eight communities per day only to make little to no difference.
How do you block a lemmy account from your community, when they’re on an instance your mod account can’t see??? There’s someone spamming my community from k.bin, but the posts aren’t showing up on sh.itjust.works so I’m not sure how to delete the posts or even block the account. Can someone help please?
I think a lot of people will need to have this critical feature in lemmy, can you upvote this post so we can restore this feature
Today, I tried (again) to install lemmy on my linux server. I tried in the past but the documentation was so lacking that I only encountered errors after errors just following exactly every command....
I deleted my instance and want to use my domain for something else. However, traffic keeps getting pushed to my server. Is there a way to stop this?
