instamat,

Ah, high school

Stanwich,

OMFG!! I won’t! I promise I won’t!

100_percent_a_bot,

Apparently I’m too stupid to understand this

Same

dditty,

Teenagers will often poke holes in a pop can to turn it into a makeshift pipe for smoking marijuana. This artist made a glass pipe to imitate that look. It’s ironic because if you had a glass piece for smoking you would never use the inferior pop can method, and yet this is exactly the combination of those two different approaches.

BowtiesAreCool,

Appears to be ceramic, not glass

I knew people do this, but I was always to afraid of inhaling something extremely toxic to do this myself. And I used to be a chain smoker, when this was relevant for me. Not sure, if I was cleverly stupid or not.

Smoke free for 14 years now. :)

I_Fart_Glitter,

Yes, aluminum cans are lined with plastic to protect the flavor of the product and prevent corrosion. Melted plastic fumes are generally considered bad.

Way to be smoke free!

Funny. We made a lot of these back in the day. The back ground even looks familiar. Is that near half moon bay?

The white glass is probably safer. Although I’m sure nothing bad happens when you heat and inhale painted aluminum.

@menemen@lemmy.world avatar

TIL: in other countries aluminium rules the drink can market. Here in Germany it is steel. Your comment send me on a journey. Thanks, I guess.

randombullet,

Wait really?

I’ve only noticed aluminum for drink cans. None of my cans are attracted to a magnet. (Spezi and Fritz-kola)

Although we’ve been buying bottles more and more.

menemen, (edited )
@menemen@lemmy.world avatar

Not all steel is magnetic. It depends on the specific alloy.

I’ll never forget that taste.

ButtDrugs,

It was the cancer that made it taste so good

TotallyNotSpez,

Did that can of coke receive the new coat of paint landlord edition treatment?

ObviouslyNotBanana,
@ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world avatar

It asked for a renovation and this is a renovation what else would one want

@squiblet@kbin.social avatar

It appears to be a work by an artist named Matt Eskuche, made from white glass. He has made a series of glass themed after “trash”, like replicas of crushed soda bottles and cans, and started making pipes at some point.

ryathal,

That makes more sense. I thought it was some 90s era novelty phone based on the pattern of holes.

CaptPretentious,

Oh you sweet innocent child.

Banana? Is that you?

ObviouslyNotBanana,
@ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world avatar

You’re asking if I’m me or if I’m a banana because only one of those is true.

Karlos_Cantana,

Can you post a pic of yourself with a banana for scale?

ObviouslyNotBanana,
@ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world avatar

That would be a violation of my HIPAA rights

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot,

My spoon is too big.

I’m feeling fat and sassy
