Omg it’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Ubuntus

Windows2000Srv, in what's your ubuntu?

Ubuntu Mate all the way here. Very pleasant and smooth experience. Not the flashiest but the thing works and it works well!

Are we still forgetting that Win12 will have subscription? Or at least it might. Then their terms of agreement state clearly that they will collect your personal data and share them if they see the need for it. I mean there’s more to it than being able to uninstall IE.

Mako_Bunny,

Windows 12 is not going to require a subscription

I too doubt this will be the case but there was a news report claiming Microsoft is contemplating such a thing.

Hexagram9751, in If linux distributions were tools.

As an Arch user I feel offended but indeed I own one. So I guess it’s true…

riodoro1, in If linux distros were WW2 tanks. Made by a guy who tries to play War Thunder with linux.

Im really curious as to why arch is always criticized for lack of reliability. Ive set up mine btw a long while ago, update it once a month if I remember and it just works™

Ive used debian previously and every second update left me with fucked up nvidia drivers and needing to boot to shell.

wallmenis, in Cinnabuntu

I mean, Ubuntu Cinnamon is a thing…

ExLisper, in Stability

I’ve been using Debian sid for over 40 years now and never had an issue with a broken package. What is this about?

Pantherina,

I think you did it wrong

jimmydoreisalefty, in Need to switch to Hanna Montana Linux now

Oh no…

Why would they do this to themselves?! Why?!

sederx, in An unbiased comparison of linux distributions' setup

Difference is the arch user can probably land a six figure job now.

paholg, in Opening a full editor is overrated

I just learned that the Mac version of sed requires a backup file for the -i flag, making it really hard to write cross-platform scripts that use it.

Whatsapp has always been behind the curve. Took them way too long to allow gifs.

@h_a_r_u_k_i@programming.dev avatar

I actually prefer that—a simple messenger without gifs and stickers, just plain text.

I’m not promoting WhatsApp in this case though. It’s one thing it’s done right, besides end-to-end encryption.

AlbyEvent, in Useless messenger

You can install an apps which basically display the WhatsApp webpage like an app, if you use flathub at least
