It’s useful, but not as good as scratch-made… especially the “just add water” varieties. But quick.

This is a “simple” non-buttermilk recipe

Senshi, Or keep it simple instead: 1 egg 100g flour Add milk while stirring until nice viscosity is achieved
And off to the pan you go, add a drop of oil between each pour when not using non-stick pan.
I never add anything else like sugar or butter to the mix. I don’t eat pancakes “pure”, I add jams, honey or syrup afterwards. It’s a simple base food like plain bread.
usualsuspect191, I’ve only ever seen pancake mix in either a re-sealable bag, or just a box; never a bag in a box.

XTornado, I agree. Like the box lasts for me from the point in time I leave the store to when I arrive at home. The bag too because I out in another container… But I guess that’s not that common.
