Strange to see people blaming their fellow citizens, when it was a certain beloved King that started off his reign by hugely cutting the tax-rate of corporations, leaving them with the ‘trickle-down’.

Somehow rulers manage to keep the people divided by keeping them blaming each other rather the root-cause.

Death to all boomers. Except Keanu Reeves. He’s alright.

Thorry84,

Keanu Reeves is born in 1964, which is generally considered the cut off point for boomers into gen X. Personally I don’t think the cutoff is as hard as that, people just before 1964 can still be raised as gen X and people born just after 1964 can be full on boomers. I like to think of the cutoff as plus minus 2 years.

In my book Keanu Reeves is gen X and not a boomer.

Same, honestly. Either way, he’s a good guy, he can stay.

Who was it?! Who took us over the edge?! I WANT NAMES DAMNIT!

Cossty, in a miniature vase made on a potters' wheel, glazed and fired (cat for scale)

Why did I read it as “cat for sale”

LemmyKnowsBest,

probably because it’s true after the cat yeeted the vase

Interesting to look at, numbers wise… but it makes me think of the time I have left with my parents. I’m calling them tomorrow!

Melted butter is best pony.

TWeaK, in Cookie experiments

Dammit, I was looking for the meme cookie.

I bet that one was eaten, it was probably tasty.

15% more flour makes it stronger, refrigerating overnight fully hydrates the flour and prevents excessive spreading of melting butter, and all brown sugar brings flavor, and I suspect the extra flour would combat its tendency to get runny.

To much flour though, and then you’ve got shortbread instead of a chewy cookie

I saw really shitty clay pots in a T-shirt stand today advertised as “bring your friends a little pot from Colorado” and my first thought was that somebody should do that same joke but not shitty so it’s still a worthwhile gift, if still a joke. Fast forward a few hours to now, where somebody has demonstrated that building a tiny piece of decent pottery is possible.

ramenshaman, in We hit one third of boomers being dead in the last few days.

Not long ago I found out that my dad is too old to be a boomer. Apparently it’s called “the silent generation”.

FarFarAway,

The real question is if your grandma, on the other side, is from the same generation as your dad. Then shit gets weird.

15% more flour looks like the best version to me.

TootSweet, in Cookie experiments

Why do I so badly want this to be an alignment chart meme?
