For the next time, if you want .flacs, just use Soulseek.

FYI, that ‘Piped’ link in your post ain’t workin homie

Looks like you put in “hexbear.net/post/**https://github.com/…/piped

rush,

why would I put a hexbear link when I’m on lemm.ee? 🤔

I’d double-check this isn’t an issue on your end, I can’t reproduce it here.

Some of the sports streaming sites have done this too. Any ideas if this will work there ?

FrostyTrichs,

YouTube filtering is fairly unique to YouTube since they serve ads so aggressively so it’s unlikely to help on other sites.

J guess you need to adapt the code fot the page in question. If you read the code, it is setting some values to variables youtube checks for.

Using FF with UBO, absolutely no problems. “May detect”? I’m pretty sure they either can or can’t. They’re not going to detect some FF with UBO and not others. The only thing that may affect whether or not you’re detected is if you’re using a VPN or other encryption.

rush,

uBlock Origin’s default lists with both Firefox and uBO being on their latest is currently undetected. By that I mean they’ve already released fixes.

rush,

They will actually, as they’re looking for specific things to be blocked/altered using JavaScript that is easily affected by enabling certain custom lists. In case you don’t believe me, you can look on uBO’s official statement regarding this.

turbowafflz,

Well it detects it for me and I am neither using a VPN nor any additional encryption. I’m guessing it’s just their normal thing of slowly rolling out changes instead of to every user at once.

filefly,

Congrats, you’ve managed to make a post in which nothing makes sense

No, no, and no.

Proton will make almost anything work. There are more than a few different approaches but if you need a gui/simplified all-in-one tool I can’t recommend lutris enough.

Guster, in YouTube's anti-adblock rollout has finally arrived for Firefox users

Time to switch to DuckDuck

SuperSpruce, in YouTube's anti-adblock rollout has finally arrived for Firefox users

I’ve noticed when I browse YT on Firefox with uBlock origin (usually for non-YPP channels or game OST videos I don’t really want anyone profiting off of), everything grays out after a second. Currently I can click f to go full screen and remove that, but I don’t think this workaround will work for long.

ipkpjersi, in I made a user script for youtube which makes a piped button beside each video.

I wonder if there’s a browser extension for replacing YouTube links on every website with piped links. If not, maybe I should write one.

    You need better (e.g. private) indexer 😇

    norgur,
    @norgur@discuss.tchncs.de avatar

    Those do come from a private Indexer (and given the explanation by @Laser, they are supposed to be there

    Petter1,

    But only finding the yENC means there was no better named file around so radarr tryharded with lose fitting name of file. If your indexer, or maybe your Usenet provider, don’t have the right file you want.

    norgur,
    @norgur@discuss.tchncs.de avatar

    No, it means that there was a Par2-File (which I didn’t recognize since I haven’t used Usenet for long) and a regular file but Readarr kept picking the Par2 file.

    Petter1,

    You can set custom filters in sonarr where you can give files with yENC in name a -10 priority for example.

    Here a guide, what can be done with that feature.
