Every now and then, when I’m connected to a torrent a peer will connect that has a reference to “Swarm Merging” in their name. What is swarm merging?
I’ll start. Did you know you can run a headless version of JD2 on a raspberry pi? It’s not the greatest thing in the world, but sometimes its nice to throw a bunch of links in there and go to sleep.
Sure, finding games on the high seas is easy enough on my windows machine, but if I’m on my linux partition and want to play a game that would otherwise work if I bought it in Steam with proton, how would I go about getting the game to run?
Hello All. I’m using IPTVnator on Linux and trying out both OTT Navigator IPTV and iMPlayer IPTV Player on Android but I’m wondering what everyone here uses.
I am following the linked guide for protonvpn to try to get soulseek to work and the soulseek port test tool keeps on saying the port is closed. However when I run natpmpc it seems to be successful - anyone have ideas how to get it up and running?
Hi! I wanted to start to hoard my favorite tracks in the best possible quality. A lot of stuff is available through Deezer or Tidal i know, but what sources are you guys using when FLACs for particular albums or songs cannot be found on Deezer or Tidal? I don’t want to spam the community but I can’t for the life of me find a way to search within communities. If anyone knows a way, it’d be greatly appreciated....

Some time ago I gave up using sonarr & radarr to watch (popular) tv shows and movies because the search just stopped giving decent results. Now I heard that rarbg has also quit....
I’ve been putting off renewing my mullvad membership because of the port forwarding thing. I only want to use it for torrenting. Is it really crucial to find a VPN that supports port forwarding? If so, what’s the go to option now that it’s becoming increasingly uncommon?
wow just wow while i can’t say i didn’t see this one coming but it always amazes me where greed could lead someone
Influx of Lemmy brothers and sisters incoming. Already 3K and growing deep, we may as well rebuild together. Let’s do this! 🤝...
I use Playnite as a launcher for my pirated games. It would be nice to have a way to sync my save games between devices somehow....
I saw another post asking how to set up Soulseek and, at first glance, it looks like those old P2P file sharing platforms, like eMule, Kazaa or Limewire....
Since IVPN and Mullvad are both phasing out port forwarding, are there any alternatives? I am not looking for something like NordVPN which is a privacy nightmare. AirVPN is also not private enough considering I’ve seen reports online of ISPs sending out DMCA letters of gold to its users.
I’m putting this together because I posted a while ago about using IRC to acquire ebooks on Reddit, and there was a metric shit ton of interest from others in learning how to do it. Much of this info is available on the net, but it can be difficult to track down if you don’t know exactly what to look for....
