I am now very jealous of Tim Russ.
EDIT: Do you think they made out while he was still wearing the ears? I would have told him to keep the ears on.
Funny, I just re-watched all of Dr. Katz on YouTube. Also, Audible did an audio revival of Dr. Katz a few years ago. There are a criminally low number of episodes and they’re all shorter than a Comedy Central episode, but they’re still very funny.
There’s also a live “episode” of Dr. Katz with Jonathan Katz, H. Jon Benjamin, Laura Silverman and a whole lot of comedians on YouTube which I highly recommend.
I have high quality DVD rips of the entire series plus rips of shorts from Short Attention Span Theater that preceded Dr. Katz, as well as the aforementioned live episode, with one of my favorite Maria Bamford performances (“I wish you were different!” “I am different!”)
H. Jon Benjamin will always live in my mind as Ben Katz.
Also Dr. Katz was ahead of its time in “kindness television.” We have stuff like Ted Lasso or Joe Pera now that is less snarky and mean, but in the 90’s only Dr. Katz was so full of love he let his adult son live with him indefinitely.
It doesn’t make sense for her to say that. According to google Robert is 1.84 meters tall and Sarah is 1.7 meters tall. That’s 1cm over 6 ft for him and just about 5’7" for her. Why would he stand on an applebox? Does he need to tower over her? Also looking back at the episode he appears about 5 inches taller than her in most shots where they’re standing together so he doesn’t appear to be using an applebox. I think she is misremembering.
