grayman, Still no gas. Should be a sailboat kit.
aBundleOfFerrets, (edited ) Box says gas included. Gary thinks of everything
Lowpast, (edited ) I must be dumb because I look at every single one of these and I haven’t seen one that is even slightly funny
highenergyphysics, It’s boomer humor, but without the hate
The entire joke is that the boxes should have washed up before the stranded person died
I remember these being pretty funny as a kid which explains the lead addled mental state of Gary’s audience at the time
Underwaterbob, Irony is dead!
downpunxx, like everything it's all in the timing
intensely_human, When you sign up for free mental healthcare on a non-emergency basis
camelCaseGuy, Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
grayman, Or to the educated, coincidental.
camelCaseGuy,
Murdoc, Should have opted for Amazon Prime. 😛
Pika, nowadays that’s with prime!
subignition, (edited ) Maybe the joke is the time between ordering and delivery? I don't really get it
sugar_in_your_tea, Nah, just raw irony.
21Cabbage, Kind of a dark one for today.
DharmaCurious, Is the joke that they got there too late…?
BolexForSoup, (edited ) Yeah, I’m kind of seeing it as three different options. The first is that whatever they were traveling on that crashed had these things, the other’s like you said - it was sent with arrive too late, or #3 they’re dumb and didn’t notice that all the boxes floating around were exactly what they need. Very unclear
Murdoc, The second one seems most likely as there are indications that the boxes are only just arriving. Also there is an old meme about sending away for items delivered from Acme, like the coyote in Road Runner cartoons.
sab, Everything appears to be drifting towards him.
I think the joke is that the guy is unbelievably cartoonishly lucky that all those things are floating too him on a deserted island all at once, put in juxtaposition with the one element of bad luck (that he's already long dead).
agent_flounder, Yup
buycurious, This one is kind of sad!
