Women are not objects or “just for show”. They are people.
In either case, both the barbie girl and the big tiddy goth gf are (generally) of no use in the household.
Women are not household slaves to clean up after you. They are not objects. Their worth is not dependent on how they cook or clean. Maybe you can be learn to be useful in the household.
One is for show, the other one is for sexual pleasure, but neither of them can be classified as good partners (in general… doesn’t mean it’s true for all).
Again, not objects. Not sex objects, not trophies for your viewing pleasure, not cleaning robots. And saying “doesn’t mean it’s true for all” doesn’t make your sweeping generalization not demeaning or objectification. Anyone can be a good partner. If you keep having bad experiences with large groups of women, guess what… you’re the common denominator.
They usually care more about their style (appearance) than anything else.
Another generalization -_- the same people that say this kinda thing then unironically spend 12 hours playing video games or throw a tantrum when their sports team loses. It’s a hobby for some people. And for others, they’re told they’re not worth anything unless they spend all their time looking perfect (like you just did in the last paragraph)
but… when it comes to actually marrying one, usually, none of them is them is the right choice.
I will never understand how some people will say women are sex objects and then shame them when they have sex, all in the same breath. And if you’re kinky or like sex, you’re bad at marriage? That doesn’t even make any logical sense.
You want a partner that will be by your side and cherish what you both have? Go to a market or a convenient store at 9AM on a Sunday. Those are the people that know what responsibilities are and will always be there for you.
Yeah, best place to hit on women is when they’re grocery shopping lmao I don’t know why, but this reminds me of parents telling their kids to put on a suit, walk into any company, shake the owner’s hand, and you’ll get a job.
Once again, this is a generalization… doesn’t mean everything is like I described it… this is more of a past experiences sort of a thing, mainly my experiences.
Yeah, it’s not like you describe. You have to work through that resentment you feel towards these women before you have a healthy relationship. Seriously, as a man who could have very easily become an incel, I’m telling you that the most important thing you can do is to think of women as people. Retrain your brain, reinforce the thought ‘this woman is just like me, they are doing what they are doing for a reason. If I disagree with what they are doing, maybe I don’t understand it. I’ll try to understand it before criticizing it. And what this one woman is doing does not represent all women’
I was lucky enough to meet a woman who is a lot like the women you’re criticizing. And she is an incredible wife and partner, and I have learned so much from her about what it means to be a woman. I hope one day you can find the same empathy and understanding.
I think clear communication is probably best tbh. Especially if you are also willing to shave too. I’m a guy and I also shave, found it extremely helpful for sports, sex, and hygiene. Lots more airflow too.
Oh yeah. It’s an absolute fucking insult to the man. He didn’t actually feel any of the gravity of the situation when he remarked “now I am become death, destroyer of worlds,” he wasn’t making a reference to a religious text, he just remembered that cool time he had sex and his lover dismounted, walked over to the bookcase, pulled a random book off the shelf, and asked “what does this means?” before getting back on
It’s actually much harder to watch Oppenheimer, because you have to see him say his famous catchphrase in a scene that could show John Green how to make sex more awkward
Do I like the lease model that we have been living with for the past 30-40 years? No. I can’t argue it is fundamentally broken (see “30-40 years”) but it does lead to corner cases like the insanity impacting all streaming services at this point. And that is why I love “physical media” that I can rip and put on a plex server.
But I hate this “argument” almost as much as I hate “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism”. It has nothing to do with either a philosophical discussion or an attempt to make things better and is just a way for people to feel good about taking the easy way out.
Because, much like with “piracy is for preservation of video games”, it begins with the false premise of what the media being consumed is. We aren’t talking about a book (… except when we are). We are talking about something a lot closer to a stage show at a theatre. You don’t own every production of Hamlet ever made just because you bought a ticket once. Hell, you don’t even own every production by the 14th Street Acting Troupe. You own that night’s production where Wendy’s boob popped out of her top and Sean couldn’t score any blow before the show and so forth.
This argument is basically saying that there are no moral or ethical* concerns with holding up a camcorder in a theatre or outright jumping the ticket stand because you wouldn’t own it anyway.
And before people start claiming that it is digital media so it is always the same, it isn’t. Remember how we apparently went from Game of Thrones being THE GREATEST HOUR OF TELEVISION EVER MADE during Battle of the Bastards to it being THE ABSOLUTE WORST PIECE OF DOGSHIT EVER CREATED when nobody could see what was going on because all the blacks of the ice zombie war were crushed worse than all the redshirts Jon-boy climbed on in the previous episode? HBO Max isn’t (entirely) paying for the ability to rewatch a guy fuck his aunt any time we want (heh, who remembers all the sex shows on HBO?). It is about being part of that discussion. It is about “experiencing” people who have never seen a war movie that didn’t star Channing Tatum lose their mind over horror. It is about being part of the discussion on what HDR even is. And that is why a lot of film makers really dislike how many people will never see a movie in theatres and instead watch it on a cell phone screen.
But also: If you want to pirate, just fucking pirate. I have a set of “rules” that I use to decide when I pirate versus buy stuff, but I am not going to pretend I am morally righteous for having the 90s Battletech cartoon on my plex server.
Which mostly speaks to people being REALLY immature and incapable of acknowledging they do good and bad. The discussion is always “this isn’t piracy” rather than “Who fucking cares if it is piracy?”. Because even thinking for a moment that you did a “bad” (and then not caring) is beyond people.
As for why I wish people would reassess and actually critically think? Mostly because the bog standard neckbeard “Achshually, I am morally righteous and smarter than you” is fucking annoying. But partly because that is how you actually get feedback out there. I’ve gotten the Netflix “sorry to see you go, can you tell us why?” card a few times. And every time I answer a variation of “You fund awesome shows that I want to watch and I have no problem paying 20 or even 40 bucks for a season of The Last Kingdom. But I am not going to pay that every month. Which puts me into the weird case of deciding I will buy a month of Hulu instead because, even if their shows aren’t as good, they have enough of them to ‘justify’ the month.”. Which probably goes in a bin, but hopefully leads to thoughts on whether Glass Onion should get a blu-ray release and so forth.
*: Remember kids, ethics are not morality. And if you do have an ethical system that justifies this, cool. But that is the kind of thing that takes serious thought and constant reevaluation.
I thought an orgy would imply that for each fucking tuple (h1, h2) € F[H], there exists at least another pair where (hx, h3) € F[H], hx € {h1, h2}, so that there are not two disjoint strict subsets of O.
In textual words: When Tobi and Torben have sex, and Brunhilde and Gudrun have sex, I thought this is not an orgy. There must be a connection between those two pairs. I bet I am having an orgy with a lot of strangers by the definition of this paper.
Not really though. As a gay male I can assure you, nobody wants to eat "poo poo." Well maybe there are some that do, but I've seen depictions of such things in straight porn more than in gay porn. And actually most men probably have some kind of scatalogical fantasies - not all of them of course. But gay people aren't the only ones having anal sex or doing things "down there."
My advice is the opposite - you guys need to step up (well - down) and start eating more ass. Don't let the fear mongers take the fun out of sex and foreplay. Everything people do in that realm could possibly cause illness or might be dangerous - from STDs to causing ruptures in the skin - but that shouldn't prevent people from having a good time. If people are clean and healthy and showering regularly, there's no reason to fear anal stuff at all.
I never heard of the jelly bracelet thing, but now I’m thinking about how that sort of thing can be way stronger than it looks.
I have some TPU filament that’s stretchy enough to feel flimsy, but after I realized I somehow couldn’t snap it, it became kind of a strength challenge. The strongest guy I know couldn’t snap it, and he bent a 36" pipe wrench once. But then again, there weren’t sex acts on the line.
Exmo here, I highly doubt it. There are rules against lesser forms of intamacy (petting), also this clearly violates the spirit of the law (of no premerital sex).
I could see it happening but any Mormon worth their salt would raise their eyebrow and deny it. This is on the level of holding a knife in the middle of a street and getting somebody to bump people into you, it’s not murder, right?
If you wanna talk crazy let’s talk about how you can figure out somebody’s secret name if you know the first time they went through temple endowment. Or how bigfoot is technically canon.
It’s a repression thing, they can’t face having sexual fantasies of their own so their mind tricks them into thinking they’re super interested in every news story about wild sex things - suddenly they’re up all night imagining wild and perverted things that are probably happening, but not because they like thinking about those things they reassure themselves, they’re a good moral person trying to protect civic morality…
Read interviews with satanic panic people, endless vivid details right out of an extreme romance novel. Tiktok human trafficking panic is another example, those videos with obviously made up warnings about sex rings and kidnapping methods - it’s all structured just like it’s porn equivalents.
Out of curiosity, did most of the people there actually follow the no sex rule? I know at some of the Christian colleges I’ve been to, there are lots of people who do have sex, they just have to be secretive enough about it. Of course, a good portion of kids at those colleges were just pressured to go there by their families, but aren’t that religious themselves. 🤷
I don’t know any Mormons, so idk if it’s remotely similar at a school like BYU.
Wanting to be uncircumcised is like declaring your pleasure is more important than your partner’s pleasure. It’s saying you want sex to feel so good that you can’t last long enough to satisfy your partner. Anyone who bashes the practice of circumcision is misogynistic.
Students were required to address ‘whiteness’ and describe what the term ‘white’ means, as well as explain how they ‘navigate race’ in their daily lives.
Not that having privilege personally is a bad thing either. It’s just opening you up to it, being aware of it. It also doesn’t diminish other negative things you went through.
I’m a white male. I probably have gotten jobs that were helped by that fact. I also grew up dirt poor only affording ramen and rice. One does not cancel the other out, it just adds to who I am.
However now being aware of it I want to move into a position where I can help change things, where I can help hire people not based on their skin color or sex
Well, typically other libertarians like to pretend we don’t exist and invoke the magic phrase “you’re not a real libertarian”, whereas left libertarians prefer to pretend that there’s more than one of us. The tl;Dr is that it’s more of anti-authoritarian take than a pro-free-market take that you’d get from right lib.
On the matter of economics, I believe that free markets work and work well where they exist, which is certainly not everywhere they’re imagined to. In other words, I’m not willing to imagine that markets with baked-in coercion (like healthcare) are free. Free markets require choice and, ultimately, the ability to say no without coming to harm. If I can buy a widget from Bob, a widget from Sally, or not buy a widget and suffer no cost or harm, that’s a free market. I also generally don’t believe in rugged individualism; poverty is, itself, a coercive force in economics. This sort of view is partly how I wholeheartedly endorse mass transit and good urbanism as a libertarian, because being functionally coerced into car ownership isn’t economic freedom.
I also believe that the government does have a right to interfere with gross negligence. That is, if you’re drunk driving, if you’re having a bonfire and there’s a high wildfire risk, or you’re doing something that any reasonable person would understand is an imminent danger to the safety of others around you, the government has an absolute right to make you stop. Most right libertarians think that the government should only interfere with direct violence and that everything else can be settled in court; so basically, if you’re a drunk driver, make sure you kill whoever you hit so they can’t sue you. I also think that this applies to companies and organizations, not just people.
Those are, probably, pretty uncontroversial takes, and you might be thinking “so where’s the libertarianism?”. Well, I also think that the government has massively overstepped its bounds, especially in the last forty years or so since Reaganism. Ready? Here we go. The war on drugs and the war on terror has seen the government giving itself ridiculous powers that need to be culled immediately. The NSA mass surveillance program (which was ‘killed’ by the SCOTUS and resurrected by Obama and the Republicans under the cynically-named USA FREEDOM ACT later that same day) should be erased in totality. The government should not be collecting any data from any tech company on anybody without consent, a warrant, or the data being anonymized (if it’s, for example, for research purposes). The patriot act should be repealed yesterday, and gitmo should be closed because holding anyone without trial is wrong, full stop. No-knock raids should not happen, period, and we desperately need police reform. The entire country is a free speech zone, and protests should not be met with brutal crackdowns. I also think that what happens between consenting adults or what a consenting adult does to themselves is nobody else’s business, as long as it’s without coercion. That’s maybe 5% of the rant I could go on, but I don’t want to write a book, and I don’t think you want to read one.
Also:
-What happens between consenting adults is nobody else’s business, least of all the church or the government. I’m pro sex work and pro LGBT rights.
-I’m pro-abortion rights.
-The government needs to leave the native Americans the fuck alone. 2023 and we’re still fucking with them. The government needs to leave everyone alone, but they particularly need to fuck off on native Americans. That said, I think we should still financially support their recovery as a people and culture from what we’ve done to them, but they should get to decide the shape that takes, not us.
-I’m firmly against borders. If it was up to me, I’d Thanos snap that shit. No more borders. I know that’s an extreme position, and I’d be willing to compromise for an EU-style open borders arrangement.
