The same thing might apply to people that just don’t know how to install another OS.
I’ll take my wife as an example, she knows how to work on a computer (Windows) in her sleep. Spreadsheets, documents, media, you name it. But, does she know how to work the command line? Absolutely not. If her Windows license is about to expire, she calls me. Her files get mangled up, she calls me. It’s not her job to know these things, it’s mine, she’s a social worker, I work in IT.
If it takes too long to load the EFI binaries, that might be BIOS setup issue. Have you tried other filesystems except FAT32 for the EFI partition? I’ve had luck with just FAT (FAT16) on some rigs that just refused to read FAT32 (still don’t know why).
Also, make sure the drives are in AHCI mode. Though this is mostly the default nowadays, I’ve seen weird BIOSes that defaulted to IDE mode.
Hm, maybe… I had this notion that things were like that since forever in America, like sure, democrats and republicans have their diffrences, but people don’t quarel over their political orientations. You do you, I do me and that’s that 🤷.
Though I have to admit that things were apparently getting more heated up the last 10 years or so, mainly because of social media and the walled garden it created around people thanks to predicting what your interest are.
