I had a very stodgy surgeon and I actually got a laugh out of him. He checked in with me pre surgery and as he was leaving said he would see me in the OR and I was like I hope I don’t see you (meaning I hoped the anesthesia worked). No one else got what I meant except for him and he had a genuine chuckle.
Seeing the moon and stargazing in general. Oh and everytime I see a picture come back from the Perseverance Rover. I just look at them in absolute wonder and still find it unbelievable that we have clear pictures coming back from Mars. Every new picture is like Xmas for me.
I worked at a mom and pop hardware store in college. I learned more practical information there than I did in school. I even got good enough to sell power tools, mowers, and chainsaws. We didn’t get commission or anything like that but it was a point of pride to be able to answer customers questions and make a sale.
The last time I used one of these was buying drywall because it only comes in two sizes with no in-between, too damn big and patch kits that are good for nothing.
Me personally no, I quit on June 11th and I haven’t looked back. My husband on the other hand looks at it periodically. He showed my something from r/PartyParrot yesterday thinking it was cool and I had to tell him it was a popular repost. Pretty much cemented the fact that I’m not missing anything.
