ByGourou,

Mechanical keyboards improved a ton in the last 3 years. If the model M came out today it would be an awful keyboard.

ByGourou, (edited )

He did not outright tell that it would be unetical but he implied it.

…gambling lottery… But if I wanted to be ethical

Imply that the roulette part is unethical.

He said he would do it tho, so I guess it’s not unethical enough for him not to do it. Stealing is unethical but yeah, it’s casino, so it’s not that bad.

ByGourou, (edited )

This kind of thing definitly exist, usually part of adaptative difficulty where for exemple you get an invisible buff after dying so you feel like you are improving.
But I fail to see that in fortnite since it’s a multiplayer game, only your skill and luck influence the outcome, not playtime. Fortnite isn’t an RPG either (As far as I know), so I guess you meant an other game ?

ByGourou,

I never heard of that since I stopped playing asphalt but that seems like something Gameloft would do. Gameloft really fell off, they used to make good games…

But yeah, it can also be used badly, like making the game really easy after a purchase and then slowly go back to difficult. I don’t think I’ve heard of something like that yet, but it probably exist.

ByGourou,

That’s a small but loud minority.

ByGourou,

Because it’s not a community. It’s millions of random people that have nothing to do with each other and thus don’t see the loud minority or feel the need to correct them. Of course you can create small group out of them, like the vegans of twitters, but they do not represent the many 60 yo Asians that just don’t eat meat.

ByGourou,

That was a quick comparison with white supremacy, veganism isn’t nearly as important as that.

Vegans are not special. It’s like if I had the same nationality as someone, do you really need to call out someone from the US that shit on European (assuming you are from the US) ? Maybe, maybe not, some do, some don’t. Same for veganism.

I assumed he meant vegan aren’t calling out extremists enough, obviously there are vegans calling out other vegans if that’s what you want. I searched “militant are bad for veganism” and found this article www.refinery29.com/…/vegan-extremist-language that list a few vegans that are against militant.

(I did not check further on theses accounts btw, if they changed their mind since that doesn’t mean there are no better example).

And I never wanted to say most vegans agree with extremists. Theses assholes are ruining veganism image. Without them people would hear vegan and think about nature, saving animals, saving the evironnement. But right now they only think about 30 years old Karen screaming at them for no reason calling people murderer and so on.

ByGourou,

It doesn’t matter that much to me, I won’t go out of my way to shut down a vegan extremist, I don’t care enough.

But maybe you’re right, I don’t know. I’m not following any vegan so maybe most of them are like that. I guess I will keep hoping for our reputation to improve.

Also, I completely agree with you on regulation, cutting animal product is easier than picking the local farm meat so it’s what I choose, but the most important part is stopping the torture on animals, and regulation would do that. I hate the mentality that if it’s not perfect we don’t do it, it’s the same for vegans hating on vegetarian.

ByGourou,

At this point you’re getting contrarian for the sake of being contrarian.

I’ve got a few close to me, and they go out of their way to shut down other people close to me.

It’s all personal experience, I’m vegan and you can eat what you want, I know other vegan that don’t give a shit either.

I can respect that. It’s a band-aid solution in my opinion, but if I look at how I tolerate half-ass government actions, I have to honestly accept that a band-aid solution should not be faulted too much.

I fail to see how not eating meat is inferior, if you want sustainability meat will always be worse. I’m not saying vegans are superior but they for sure aren’t inferior for sustainability. Calling it a band aid is ridiculous.

I think we’d diverge here, but that’s ok. To me, sustainability is more important

I agree, both are really important to me.

Vegans are not “going to win” and have a kumbaya utopia

I don’t want that, I want regulation that makes all meats good for the animals and the environment so I can eat it again.

But there’s a LOT of even ranchers and hunters of all people who would stand at their side for better regulations on humane treatment.

I agree, vegan should team up with ranchers and hunter for better regulation for sure.

ByGourou,

Tribler is the only thing I found to bypass my network torrent block for free (no vpn).

ByGourou,

Just found out about i2p, i2psnark worked with i2p torrent (I couldn’t make qbitorrent work). If I understood corectly, it should work with non i2p torrent if someone on the i2p network has it, but it’s still pretty niche so right now it doesn’t work mist of the time.

ByGourou,

Youtube, cracked spotify, collab with artist I already like, rythm games, friend recommendations…

Abd then I download with soulseek, sort and send to my phone with musicbee and listen with musicolet

ByGourou,

I moved from europe to canada, and they actually eat that thing. I tried in europe before, and the authentic here it’s just as bad
