They’re not upset because it shows sex they’re upset because it shows and talks about gay people and trans people. This person has a history of homophobic and transphobic behavior (you can check their post and comment history and you’ll find plenty of these bigoted talking points).
From what I can tell it’s possible that the OP may have some trauma or at the very least past negative experiences with egg culture. I can neither confirm nor deny this though as I’m not the OP, I am basing it off my own negative experiences with egg culture.
For those not in the know egg culture is the phenomenon around Egg_irl, it’s the idea that people are transgender without knowing it, or are in denial. The problematic part is that it also targets people who are Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) because it heavily utilizes gender stereotypes.
If that is the case they might have a completely valid reason for why they posted it or are vibing with it and are not sharing it because they feel like people are going to call them an egg or harass them again, but they wanted to share it because they thought other people might enjoy it.
Here’s a sample of what Egg culture harassment looks like by the way, just to give an idea for people who haven’t experienced it (count yourselves lucky), fair warning, it’s unpleasant.
Toxic Egg culture, Enbyphobia, probably is harassment.“I’m saying you’re an Egg because you seem to have an interest in dressing as something other than your AGAB, you’re obviously not Cisgender. People can be either Male or Female and you’re clearly not male, because males don’t enjoy things like that if you keep lying to yourself you’ll never be happy”
I could understand why the op might be a bit more on edge then they otherwise would be if they experienced egging like this.
Yeah the whole idea of egg culture is very weird and restrictive. It imposes unnatural restrictions on people for how they should act and implies things about them that might not be correct and in many cases aren’t that other person’s bussiness (who are they to judge what gender a person is on the inside when they don’t even really know that person).
I think mostly it’s the idea that people* who break gender stereotypes (or are thought to break gender stereotypes) are trans, I don’t think it necessarily implies that everyone is trans, I’ve seen people who claim that and act like it but for the most part it’s based on lack of adherence to gender stereotypes.
(*Most of the times this doesn’t include women who dress in a masculine way, tomboys getting egged definitely does happen, but it’s not as common since women dressing masc has been established as a normal thing.)
Sister and Nephews had the flu (still do, it’s really bad) so I ended up just staying home and having a video call with them. Sister took a COVID test strip and it’s negative, so seems like it’s just the flu but it still sucks for her.
So I’d say the flu ruined Christmas this year. At least I didn’t get sick 🤞
Let’s also remember that Willy Wonka fired all his workers and replaced them with slaves, in the original draft of the book they were people taken from Africa, so pretty much resembles slavery verbatim.
I’m not going to go too in depth with this because there’s a whole video already breaking it down in entirety (you can find it here.
While I admire your attitude, I don’t think it’s a great idea to try and get around gender stereotypes by rebranding. The best way in my opinion is just to own it and be confident. Going around them in a way enforces them, because you’re changing the name to avoid the stigma that comes with breaking them as opposed to questioning and opposing it.
That is a good point, a person who wears a dress isn’t necessarily a femboy. Some certainly are but plenty also aren’t. It wasn’t my intention to imply that wearing a dress makes someone a femboy and I can see how it enforces gender stereotypes to a deree. In the end a skirt or a dress is a piece of clothing, which inherently do not have gender and saying someone is a femboy for wearing those clothes isn’t great if the end goal is to break away and be free from these stereotypes.
I already know what you’re getting at but arguments in favor of breaking gender stereotypes aren’t made invalid if the person who originally made them ends up identifying as trans. I know that lots of people like to use situations like that as “evidence that people who break gender stereotypes are just trans-in-denial” and/or a justification for harassing GNC folks (r/egg_irl and r/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns were especially awful about that back in their heyday) but it’s very important to recognize that GNC people are valid in their own right, and trying to generalize them as transgender is hurtful and enforces the toxic gender stereotypes that hurt people.
Oh and before someone tries to twist my words around. No a trans woman wearing a dress doesn’t enforce gender stereotypes, what enforces gender stereotypes is to say a person (i.e. a femboy) is trans because they wear a dress without their input on the matter.
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
Not if you have the DING plugin installed (can be installed either as a plugin from the store or from the repos as a system-wide one) then you can have the icons on your Desktop just like other OSes.
Internet isn’t negotiable because I do have to be able to work from home. The skulldog is cute and would be nice but not an absolute necessity like the internet.
Well that’s good, doesn’t need to be fiber good, just enough to do a bit of work with documents and files.
The wendigo is non-negotiable and will show up when you least expect it.
I see, so he just comes and goes whenever he wants? I was kind of hoping he would hang around more, but if he wants to do his own thing that’s fine. I’d just hope he comes back when it’s cold outside, I’d be worried for him if he was stuck out in the snow.

At least until the spambot onslaught begins and they start to find it incredibly difficult if not impossible to keep up with the endless flow of spam due to their lack of assistance tools and beneficial third party apps.
I agree, although it can't hurt to also accelerate that process by making it unbearable for scabs and normies to use the site. It also helps by setting a precedent for any future centralized social sites (like squabbles) who may try to profit off their users or go to war with the internet. Maybe it might even make them open to the idea of federation (probably not but at the very least it'll make them leery of doing stuff like Reddit, unless they're just blatantly stupid like Huffman is).
