I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
I mean some of them show their age a bit and ok some of them rehash ideas from preceding ones, but it’s hard to think of any Miyazaki movie that did nothing for me at all.
The hours are great but falling asleep instantly and waking up fully rested… oh my… I don’t remember the last time I felt fully rested even after 8 hours.
So I was looking into getting port forwarding set up and I realized just how closed-off the internet has gotten since the early days. It’s concerning. It used to be you would buy your own router and connect it to the internet, and that router would control port-forwarding and what-have-you....
I have ports open (to receive backups from my other servers) but only to connections from specific ip addresses and only port 22 using a pub key (no password) I’d be hesitant to open port 80 to the public though.
Then again I’ve run a small public web server for well over a decade and never had any issues with hackers.
I thought hexbear is for tankies? They are pro confederate too?
That said I’m not defending confederates. The fact that no one here can think beyond “my team against your team” goes to show how far the country has fallen. It’s god damn pathetic.
Well once person out of about 100 that understands this is not about defending slavery. Jesus Christ I thought the level on Lemmy was supposed to be a bit better than Reddit but it’s the same ridiculous circle jerk.
Yeah but traditionally at least in the US that wad mostly the right’s position, extreme reactionary populism. It’s frightening to see how quickly and gleefully the left is lowering itself to the same level.
Still missing the point. The fact that the left is gleefully giving up the moral high ground and lowering itself to the republicans level goes to show this country is beyond saving. Looks like Murdoch won.
Just looked him up on YT. First two bits were “there are too many deserts now” and “Norm doesn’t know what metaphors are”. Not offensive but super dated. He was probably very funny in his day.
Hey move to Europe friend. I have 5 weeks vacation (going to negotiate for more this year) and bought my house 3 years ago. It was an arm and a leg to be fair but my monthly mortgage payments now are sub 1k for a family home.
My wife and I both work 40 hours but could drop to 32 if we really wanted and still be comfortable. Most families I know at least one partner works part time.
What is your unpopular flim opinion

Are there any people who were offended by Norm MacDonald's comedy? Was he controversial, or nah?
If you know, you know. (i.imgur.com)
… and if you don’t know I’m not going to explain it.
