The fight in the very beginning makes zero sense. There is an embargo? But why? Who is fighting who? If you are going to have a pivotal point of the story at least have a clear reason why. Sure they are bullies and they are fighting to move the story, but they kept coming back to it. Make it makes sense.

And rolling in flowers and being a “senator” isn’t a real love story. That’s a manufactured love story. Real life stories are when people are attracted to each other and deny it, and then can only admit it when you are about to be in Carbonite.

It’s more complex than love = abuse. When we see it that way, it’s a no brainer. It’s being raised in abuse you equate love to the escape from the pain. Which usually stems from the excitement found elsewhere. Such as playing guitar naked on stage or with civil rights extremists.

It takes years to feel that a normal relationship is what is right for you. Some of it is her fault for not finding that in herself. Some of it is her upbringing. I find her performance when she shows Forrest his son spot the fuck on for someone raised in such chaos and regretting their young behavior. They mean well, they just are unaware of their effects. Should they be aware? Absolutely. Is it their fault? Yes. Does it take them awhile? Yes. They could be battling addiction as well. Another escape.

I still don’t understand the Jenny hate. She was a very real character I have met many times in my life.

My old job. They canned me for not liking my personality and made up non measurable matrices to do so. I could sue, but I really don’t care. I’ll let their business model fail since it’s just high school with pay. I was going to leave anyways because of a lack of a raise and my boss was the biggest gym bro with a drinking problem. But I could have at least hung out and kept getting paid. I had a down payment saved for a house and it’s dwindling to find a job with the right fit. Because this world is going crazy in many ways.

I played music back in the day. Nothing huge but we played every weekend and were known in the area. I went into a guitar shop to check out a Jackson and thinking I might actually buy one because we were doing so well. They put me into the “special” room with a Messa Boogie half stack and I went off. Look down out the pick guard and I had shredded a pick all over it in dust. Not completely, just not brand new.

I looked up and some kid around 8 or 9 looks up and me and says “you’re awesome!”. Still my favorite music moment. Even better than seeing a mosh pit while on stage.

It’s scary. Straight up. You don’t know if changing it will put you into a situation where there is no one there to help. All your information is on these machines and Windows for all it’s faults is a bought product with customer service.

Making a change without a safety net or someone to walk you through it is ballsy. Research is important and no offense, hard to find for Linux. Sure there are many “how to” videos and scenarios. But what if I play a game and I cannot absolutely live without it. And all of its plugins?

That has nothing to do with less children. It’s a known thing in biology that animals are fully aware of critical mass and adjust their mating for the conditions.

Every single industrialized country has reduced birth rates because of child mortality, financial stability, and many other reasons that go with it.

There is no one that didn’t have a kid because of a movie. That’s just ludicrous.
