We had a field day in Middle School and there was a kid getting picked on and I went and tried to stand up for him, cause I got bullied sometimes as well, and after the kids left him alone. The kid shoved me on the ground. Dude grew up to be a cop.

Googled him and he had a lawsuit filed againsf him for a false arrest, and he also had a tiktok where he posts about being a cop . . .

Filming the encounter is always a good option. Sorry for triggering you with this post, that shit can be disturbing, Policing is seriously fucked and exists mainly to protect property owners, not regular citizens that are the most vulnerable

Watch a few YouTube tutorials of easy crochet projects and just buy the bare essentials for that project. You can get what you need to make your own beanie for around $15. Its super easy to undo your work and start over from the point where you messed up. Personally its really good for my anxiety. I started it a few weeks ago and have already made 2 shaws, one for me and one for my partner and a head band. Currently working on a sweatervest and a beanie. Its seriously so good for my mental health cant recommend it enough.

So stoked to get started on it, currently in the planning stage, haven’t decided what stitch, yarn, or weight I want to use yet, but I’m pretty sure im going to use the daily High Temp. Not currently a part of any communities would love it if Lemmy had a crochet instance, but i dont have the mental capacity to create and moderate it, currently just watching YouTube tutorials to learn. I’ve only completed 2 shawls and a head band so far, but i just started a sweater vest with Caron Jumbo’s peacock yarn using V stitches. First time winging it on a piece, so excited!!!

Calling someone gay in the 2000’s was not synonymous with calling somone bad, it was synonymous with calling somone homosexual. Gay originally meant lighthearted or carefree. I got called Gay all the time in the 2000’s when I was in high school, the kids never implied it was bad just that I was a homosexual, to which my defense was that I was a Lesbian trapped in a Man’s body so I wasnt gay cause I was attracted to women. The church I went to sure as shit implied that being gay was a sin, but calling somone gay was NOT synonymous with calling them bad. It was used for calling peers out for acting outside of accepted social norms, such as homosexual behavior largely was at the time and still is in some places.

I graduated High School in the 2000s. And yeah I heard, “nah, thats gay” ALOT but its was almost always in reference to things boys didnt want to do cause they thought it would make them look gay if they did it. ie.

Kid A: “Hey you wanna join Marching Band.” Kid B: “Nah that’s gay.”

Kid A: “Do you want to go watch an off broadway productiong of RENT instead of playing Halo?” Kid B: “Nah That’s gay”

What is this specifically in reference to? This is sampled in my favorite song off of Chillhop Summer 2017.
