Why you shouldn't use a SIM card and use an hotspot as an alternative (piped.video)

The video discusses the privacy concerns associated with SIM cards in mobile phones, highlighting three main reasons to be cautious. First, it explains how SIM cards enable constant location tracking through communication with cell towers. Second, it delves into the autonomy of SIM cards, particularly proactive SIMs that can...

Hiro8811,

Not if you don’t use sim, Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, hotspot, microphone and stand perfectly still in a bunker 4 kilometers under ground

Hiro8811,

Aha. If I modify them manually, what configs do I need to change?

Hiro8811,

I solved it somewhat. There’s only two entries in fstab now but for some reason the efi partition still gets automatically mounted and the grub theme dosen’t work

How many of you run a Linux phone (Pine64, Librem etc) as your daily driver?

I was going through Pine64’s page again after I found the latest KDE announcement. With that said, I seem to see a lot of issues with firmware on the Pine, whilst the Librem is just plain out of budget for me. Was interested in how many people here run a Linux mobile as a daily driver, and how has your experience been?...

Hiro8811,

As far as I know no. You probably could use adb to remove the scripts tho

Hiro8811,

I think you can but I’m not sure. There’s Ubuntu Touch that works on some phones but it’s really buggy

Hiro8811,

No. To root you need to extract boot.img, patch it in the app then flash it while in bootloader.

Hiro8811,

Why? Did you watched Wanka? What is it about?

Hiro8811,

Well both have Latin culture mixed in them so…

Hiro8811,

I get the same error. Should I install grub?

Hiro8811,

It’s one line with no spaces but I’m writing on a phone and Jarboa autocorrect is ass.

Hiro8811,

I think I managed to mount it but what should I edit?

Hiro8811,

From where should I mount it? Emergency shell? Chroot?

Hiro8811,

TheUUID is not comented out. Only nvme0n1p is

Hiro8811,

Still same error

Hiro8811,

Oh, Great Sage please teach us your ways

Help, boot doesn't work anymore

I have a laptop eith sata and a nvme drive. I installed a few operating systems and I decided on Mint for Sata. Installed it copied data from Nvme drive since I was using it as primary. I installed Nobara on nvme and it worked flawless until a few moments ago. Reboted and Mint is gone from boot options. Tried to add it but...

Hiro8811,

Try Grayjay still in development and sometimes it crashes but it has no shorts. Better said it has them but they get treated like a video. No full screen no dedicated button and no scrolling. Downside (or not) it has no recommendations even if you subscribe, can’t comment in youtube but you got a platform comments

Hiro8811,

I’m not yet sure but I’ll try them out. Thank you for taking the time

Hiro8811,

What distro would you suggest? I abandoned windows 10 for Ubuntu but it didn’t grew on me. I know Linux Mint is friendlier but I thought giving Ubuntu a try

Hiro8811,

I know that you apps are available across distributions but I wanted to use a stable distro for school that I trust not to brake and another one where I can experience and customize without worrying to much about breaking it.
