Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...
Ya, YouTube follows copyright law as closely as it can or it would have been sued into oblivion. I have used a few copyright songs in videos and they usually don’t get outright blocked but the song creater counts those views towards revenue and if YouTube doesn’t have a song license for a country the video is blocked in that country. YouTube tells this to the uploader.
Related, H3H3 had a huge lawsuit about fair use over video clips because YouTube would handle it the same way - leave the video up but transfer all revenue to the clip holder. H3H3 ended up winning that but the point is YouTube is extremely pro copyright, erring on the side of copyright holder in all cases until convinced otherwise.
Ya, the US doesn’t have the bike lanes everywhere but there are tons of shit roads that turn into great roads due to town/county/state invisible lines.
No, you’re right. Infinity war is the better movie but endgame was the better event. Endgame is almost a perfect fanservice movie and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The more Star wars content that comes out the more annoyed I get. There are trillions people living on millions of planets but let’s keep looking at these 40 people, and make sure they visit tatooine at some point. Let’s see something new, anything, please.
We’re talking about a vacation this summer so we can plan ahead. My mother (who will pay for it) said she’d love to go to Yellowstone, but it looks like it’s about a 24-hour drive for us. Still, I like the idea of going to a national park. We’re in Indiana, so this image shows about the limits of where we’re willing to...
OP, just bite the bullet and go to Yellowstone. I live in Illinois and have been to several of these other parks / areas. Yellowstone is on a completely different level and it’s not even close. It is one of the best, if not the best, parks in the world. This is not an exaggeration.
USA is a multi-party democracy, and as such laws and programs need to be approved by representatives with opposing views. Currently, republican governors are refusing to accept free federal money to feed children. There is absolutely no way they care about giving the homeless homes. I absolutely agree with you that this is an “orphan crushing machine” issue but unless the GOP implodes we’re not going to have such progressive policies.
My family has a few houses they rent out. Not nearly enough income to live off of as they all have other jobs, but it’s some. As a rule, an empty apartment is better than a bad tenant. Not only will a bad tenant not pay and take months to remove, they will actively destroy the place causing thousands in damages. “Just sue them” someone may say. Well, they don’t have any money for rent, they surely don’t have 10 months of rent + $4k in repair + legal fees. Sure, we can garnish their wages. What’s 5% of $0 in reported income per month?
Yes, some landlords deserve the hate they get but let’s not pretend everyone is the perfect tenant either. The people of Walmart need to live somewhere.
Ya, that’s pretty much the main functionality of private videos, to test them before going public or schedule them for later. It would be pretty annoying if the video changed after making it public. Also private or public, you still need to follow copyright laws.

It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it
